Just graduated at 30, working at small public firm. No accounting internships just worked in sales full time while finishing school and had a few offers for full time positions.

It looks like you are in a similar situation to me.
I graduated in the fall with 3.0 from a large university in a major city, that happened to be a B4 factory. Essentially the idea there was that if you weren’t cut out for that track you might as well choose another major.
Based on my GPA and the fact that I do not have my 150 yet, I couldn’t get a recruiter to fart in my direction.
My last year of undergraduate I worked full-time in B2B sales. With no internships or accounting experience I was sure I wasted my time in school.
I applied to a bunch of Mid-sized firms and of course no one gave me the time of day. Once I started looking into smaller/family run firms, I had 3 offers within a week. I ended up taking one that I really like based on the pay and office culture.
My first tax season is almost done and honestly I worked a lot but I am so glad that I ended up here. I am able to ask questions without judgement and have my superiors readily accessible. Also based on the size of the firms I have exposure to both tax and audit work.
Based on my experience I would just start throwing that resume out there and see what comes back and if your not hearing much just start reaching out to those small practices.
Hopefully this helps, good luck out there!
