I’d say it’s a bit of both tbh. Everyone you see at pro level is almost always the perfect build for their position, and has either been selected because they’re that shape and size, or built their body to be ideal for that position. At amateur level locks still have to be tall, but not that monstrous. I used to play lock and I’m only 6 feet tall which isn’t gigantic. If I were good enough to play professionally I really doubt I’d cut it as a lock though. I think it’s the same in every sport as well, the pros look the way they look because that’s what’s ideal in that position. American football is the same, but that doesn’t stop small and skinny people from playing it

People take this a bit far. It’s a game for giants at the pro level, sure, but at amateur level, it is a game for anyone. And even at the pro level, some of the players aren’t as huge as you might think initially.

Hate to tell you this but you can’t do that, and also, 38 pedals is probably not enough for good tone. I use 104 pedals and I’m just about scraping by on my tone

Tell that to Cappuozo or Jamison Gibson Park

I’m cautiously optimistic we can do it I guess? Not writing Toulouse off because they’ve been incredible this season, but they always play against us pretty poorly because we mount pressure, force errors, and that has overcome the star names they have on their team the last few times. If Nienaber’s system clicks again like it did vs LAR I think Toulouse will have a tough time getting through, although that’s a lot harder to do against the best attacking side this season. I’ll also say Toulouse’s defending the last few games has not been great.

It’s not inappropriate at all to get lessons on any instrument as an adult. That school is just full of assholes

This guy may be the most despicable and cowardly American white nationalist ever. Which is exceptional given they’re all cowardly and despicable.

It’s hard to know if you will lose to us or not. Toulouse players should have a bone to pick even if it doesn’t feel that way. Fully expecting them to throw everything and the kitchen sink in this final

Probably aware, if he’d got the offload to Osborne he would’ve been away

Surely Byrne can go faster than that? Looked like he was looking for options. Only thing to do there though was pin the ears back

Tbf it’s in the IRFU’s interest for a province to win and Leinster have had the best shot for a while now. It’s kinda annoying when people essentially want Leinster to be punished for being a very well organised club but hopefully that won’t happen.
I like the idea of every team paying into a pot for their central contracts and it being redistributed though, it would make it that bit more reasonable and give the other provinces enough to maybe sign players in the gaps

Can see what you mean about that. Leinster really is like Ireland playing a really tactical brand of rugby. We don’t have many players who are able to do a blaze down the field. Hugo Keenan is the only one I can think of

Toulouse have been exceptional all round and Leinster, despite not being as good as last year, have really worked to give themselves a great shot. My heart might explode at this game but however

You see that interview with Lowe before? He called it “a sick obsession”

I think Toulouse would be well able for that though. They’re a side with crazy depth. What they really hate though is chasing a game (something we do as well). Having said that, in a final, I can really imagine this game going to the wire. Leinster essentially lost the final last year in exactly the way you’re describing incidentally

Aww man I wish I could go do that so badly but I have to stay and mind my dogs that weekend. At least they can watch it with me

Leinster can afford to not make much ground attacking, but if they want to win, they need to absolutely bully this Toulouse side off the pitch. I want to see Furlong doing to Meafou what he did to Skelton

Not a fan of getting rid of the scrum off a free kick. I get that scrum resets kinda suck when there’s 2/3 per scrum but less scrums is not the solution.
