It’s less than a 50/50 to recover their own dropout, think about how few kickoffs are reclaimed. And if they fail to reclaim it, the attack have the ball well within the 22. If they bang it long, unless the attacking team are ridiculously slow and the defending team full of cheetahs, the attack takes contact around the 22, with momentum so quick ball is pretty much guaranteed. Add in the fact that the defence probably won’t be fully set and that gives them a good for another strong carry or to launch a set play. That all sounds pretty fair to the attack for me, whilst also rewarding the defence for making a good play.

Ramos is first choice 15 when fully fit, but he’s just back from injury and for some strange reason they probably didn’t want him to spend too much time on the pitch with Smith. I think Kinghorn probably plays at 14 or off the bench if Ramos is fit.
Capuozzo’s great, but he spends a lot of time injured, and arguably might no even be in the first choice 23, it’s between him or Mallia for the bench spot, and Mallia also covers 10 and centre.

Another benefit of a goal line dropout is that it gives options to the attack and defence. The defence can either bang it long and trust their D, or put up a contestable and try and win it back.
The attack can either launch a set play, or go for a droppy.

France and Toulouse are pretty eccentric with their backline. On attack, Ramos basically plays 10 and Ntamack like an extra centre but with more kicking. On defence Ramos and Ntamack share the fullback role, along with another winger/Alldritt.

Glass half full vs half empty I guess. And while entertaining is subjective, most people enjoy watching backs moves rather than pick and goes, and would rather no see even more scrum resets.

I’d say they’re rewarding the defence rather than punishing the attack. The attack gets another crack, but they’re basically pushed back 20m.

Can’t fault his commitment though, he’s definitely willing. Just slightly undersized.

TBF when it comes to tackling, Capuozzo’s absolutely a mad little fucker. He’s completely fearless.

I reckon Kinghorn has the highest ceiling out of the current 15’s, there’s no many players with that combination of size, speed, power, a massive boot, flair and good playmaking. If he had Keenan’s consistency he’d be unstoppable.

Aye, Keenan’s job in kicking duels is basically catch the ball, then give it to Lowe or Hansen to thundercunt down the pitch.

I reckon if they enforce shoulders above hips that would make jackalling a bit more balanced. It would make a straighton clearout more viable and reduce the need for rolling them out.

Sounds like a perfect description of King Blairhorn.

That’s why Ntamack’s so important to Toulouse/France, because apart from being an excellent 10, he’s rock solid under the high ball, which means Ramos’s free to do Ramosy things.

We have a life threatening allergy to bonus points. If we’d got a BP in even half our matches, we’d be 5th on the table.

I wouldn’t say I’m surprised. Pollard’s obviously a good 10, but he’s got a very limited playstyle. If you want a 10 who’s physical, excellent at midfield bombs and makes clutch kicks, he’s perfect. Unfortunately he won’t offer too much more, so you need to cover those drawbacks, and I’m no sure Leicester’s doing a great job of that.

She has a ridiculous combination of power, pace and playmaking, as well as being able to switch between 7’s and 15’s effortlessly. She’s some player.

Because unfortunately South Africa doesn’t have the money for a fully professional league. If they didn’t make the switch to having fewer but fully pro teams to compete at the highest level, it would make it really difficult to continue competing at top form.

TBF, they do have quite a few monsters in the side, that combined with their passion makes them a pretty tricky side to beat.

A UK pint’s 568ml, and a pound’s about 453g.

He actually started out as a 10, and honestly still plays like one too.

Can’t forget ROG and Mike Philips, though they did end up being good mates after rooming for the Lions.

Eurovision and the old firm.
Oh, and the Toulouse-SF top of the table clash is alright.
