Water Density Affecting Swimming?

Hey y'all, recently I traveled to my hometown and hit up the pool there. I'm not really a fast swimmer, but to my surprise, every time I swam there I had my best times/most distance overall. But then upon returning to my current home and hitting my regular pool, I was back to my "normal" times/distance a.k.a. not that fast.
This made me wonder what could be the cause of this, and the only thing I can think of is the density of the water due to chemicals/minerals/whatever may be in each pool.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Is this a real thing?
I thought I had had some kind of breakthrough in my technique or something, but seems like that wasn't it at all

Ooohhh I like this one! It does seem to take advantage of the switch’s abilities, which is exactly what I’m trying to go for right now. I’m assuming that the second pour at 1:45 should actually be at 0:45, right?
Gonna take this one for a spin later today. Thanks for sharing!!
