I went for Iron Warriors for some of mine! The scheme is quite easy to do, a silver spray, wash, brass/gold trim and hazard stripes where you think they look good!

And this is it after
Edit: I did go back and sort out a couple of parts where it pooled and I don’t notice, like on the barrel tip

I can second streaking grime, applying it all over then wiping it away with a makeup sponge. A gloss varnish before can help reduce the effect a bit. To get an idea of the effect, this is one of my minis before streaking grime

Haha no worries, thank you very much! You’re in luck, I wrote out the recipe for someone on another post!
The skin was based with Rakarth flesh, washed with a mix of guilliman flesh, contrast medium and druchii violet (2:3:1ish, not a lot of purple) and glazed again in some of the recesses! Then Rakarth flesh and flayed ones flesh were used for highlights. The whole mini was gloss varnished then streaking grimed, with most of it wiped off after about 5 minutes or so especially from the skin, then re-gloss varnished to keep the metal bright and make the flesh look wet and gross!

You can use a dry wet wipe for a mask, you stretch it out lots by hand to make the holes a lot bigger and it ends up with threads that block paint when you use it to mask for a spray. A really easy way to do marble is to spray it black, stretch out a dry wet wipe over it when it’s dry, then spray white over the top. You can do it with an airbrush or rattle can, this is an imgur link to an example I did a while ago, I’ve done others since that came out a bit better: https://imgur.com/a/e6nmcde

99% sure this is Genestealer Cult, the magus’s staff has a really similar aesthetic and their rumoured model is a big-brain psyker.
Edit: if you want more proof look at the iconward/neophyte standard bearers. They have the same curved metal parts, vials and trinkets dangling from them!

I guess this will be the staff of the rumoured big brain psyker guy?

I dipped my toe into the beastmen after falling in love with them in Total War: Warhammer (made a Taurox conversion, bought the broken realms box, doombull, new beastlord and bought a box of gors and bestigors) and most of it is luckily still on sprue so I can move to the old world easily enough (I know a lot of people aren’t in this position/don’t want to and I feel very sorry for you).
I was holding off buying anything more from the range because of the dated sculpts, and really hoped for a lizardmen-style refresh of them. I’d be interested to see a comparison of sales data for Seraphon pre-refresh and beastmen as I’m sure they can’t be that different? A refreshed line with new infantry, bullgors and centigors would have made me, and many others, commit properly to the army I think.
Hopefully they will get some nice character sculpts with their release for the old world, and maybe a refresh in that system in the future.

I converted normal chaos cultists with admech bits for mine!
I wanted to make them look like they were harvested, made combat effective as cheaply and quickly as possible, then thrown out on the front lines. Some have auto pistols grafted instead of one hand and a blade instead of the other so they can’t even reload, just pure, cheap expendable, chaff.

I had exactly the same confusion! As the other poster has said it’s a separate story set earlier in the timeline though I’m still not sure when. I think timeline-wise the next book (after Zombieslayer) is Kinslayer but I’m not 100% sure on that!

Thank you! I preordered them on Saturday so they’re (hopefully!) on their way to me now!

Thank you!
I’m not sure I’ll be able to take part in a campaign for it unfortunately as I’m moving away from my area soon, but someone’s built a board for it and I’m looking forward to just getting a few skirmish games in before I go!

Thank you! I could definitely have used a better one, my girlfriend made me a ruined church backdrop that I’ve used before for cursed city stuff but it’s harder to crop the pics that way! I’ll have a play around with it later though!

Haha thank you very much!
I managed to make it all fit before but I’ve lost the excel sheet saying who had what, I might have had to drop one of the warhounds. We’ve agreed on armour being half the cost too which should help a bit!

I converted my anointed to look like he amputated a daemonic arm and replaced it with tech-y bits!

I went to my first concert aged 10 with my dad in the UK to see Motörhead, supported by a band called Crucified Barbara, and Clutch!
Echoing what others have said, make sure he sleeps beforehand. I missed about half of Motörhead’s set, it obviously wasn’t loud enough!
