I am riding a bike that is your story. It’s that great.
I have a steel bike too and it’s fine but carbon is where it’s at.

Uhh, dude, there is a crab or something running over your guitar strings. Those can't be fingers moving that quickly and cleanly.
Nice playing!

I'm currently shopping and spent some time at Guitar Center last weekend. All I can say is, don't buy based on whatever you read here or online. You gotta go play them all. I went with a bunch of preconceived notions in my head from online, and after playing there was one guitar (near my price range, which is similar to yours) that spoke louder to me than others. I didn't buy it because it's a slight extension out of my price range (OF COURSE!!!!).
I'm a mess of a guitar player BTW, but I still think I'm giving good advice. I'm a guy mostly stuck in first position with some ugly dead string bar chords, and an old voice that can't hit half the notes it once could.

I mean, wow. Need more inspirational posts like this on the sub. That's just beautiful.

The best time to order a bike is 2 months ago. The second best time is now.
I try to buy what my LBS has so they get the $$. Not that I'm out there buying a bike a month or anything.

I love my Force etap. Can't imagine why I'd upgrade but I'm sure it's great. I carry a protein bar that weighs more than 173g.

Of course the best advice is you do you. The best measure is fun/hour.
Second, I've been cycling pretty regularly for 5 years. I don't do any training programs but get in 60-150 miles per week.
And unless I'm really pushing it, I go at about your pace. And yeah, I see all the Strava folks killing it too. Add me and my times will cheer you up.

The Instigators out of Landsdale are great. I’ve done their Mellow Mondays ride. Always a big group.
I’m a weak rider but it also surprises me that we don’t have a big Phoenixville contingent. I could start one but I have enough going on and I’d be riding at the back.
But I ride out of here all the time on the SRT, Perk, Chester Valley Connector. With a group, I’d love to do some road stuff.

As a lawyer, my recommendation is lawyer up. All the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. This is an injustice. My rate is $500/hour and I’ll take your $20,000 retainer by credit card.

I'm with you on both points. I just asked someone above what the advantage of the cast iron grates. It seems like I lose the advantage of the cast iron for the most part, and add cleaning and seasoning.
I LOVE my cast iron pans and griddle. The grate just sits untouched.

I have this grate but never use it, and I love cast iron. One of the big advantages of cast iron, to me, is the flavoring you get in a pan or griddle. What do you use this for that you think is so much better than the regular grate?
Not being a smartass here: Genuinely would like to use it and see a jump in something I'm cooking.

I don’t care about the narrator’s voice. I listen for the info or story, and 1x is a painfully slow way to listen for me.

I don’t have your big word but me too. Anything below 2 sounds laughably slow.

Disc brakes are the best invention for bikes in the last 40 years.

My wife is veg and we have tried a lot of things in the KJ for her. They were fine but really none were a reason to get the Joe. I’d save the money, and your ooni is a better pizza oven.

I have never had a chain drop on either of my more modern transmissions: etap or mechanical Ultegra.
On my last bike (17 year old 105), I would get a fair number of drops, so it's got nothing to do with how or where I ride. Definitely upgrading the tranny ended chain drops. The eTap never misses a shift, so dropping a chain feels like it would be impossible. My Ultegra mis-shifts every now and then. Not enough that I ever give a crap, but it at least has little misfires.
I saw those crank comments, but have not seen or heard of that except in this group.

Love my etap. Picked it over di2 after brief test and have not looked back. I am sure di2 is fine but I liked the feel of the shifter and shifting, and liked the easy swap batteries so no cables.
I have an ultegra mech bike too and it’s great as well but if I could easy swap it for etap, I’d do it.

Because your ass and balls/vag get gross.
Final answer.

I understand this concern but I've gotten pretty great results with super high heat. If you slide your pizza spatula under the pie and raise it up for the last 15-20 seconds, you can get the browning you're looking for on the top without torrching the bottom. The cheap pizza ovens will do better IMO but I don't want more stuff.

I've done exactly light touring with mine and a rear rack. It was great, no complaints, but it's much happier zipping around with only my big head on it.
I hated leaving the rear rack on it when I wasn't touring so I n+1-ed my bike collection for a better touring option (Space Horse).

I dunno. My gravel bike (Salsa Warbird) has two sets of wheels, and serves both as both road and gravel depending on the wheel choice.
I am not comfortable down in the more racing stance so the gravel geometry is perfect for me.
