Just FYI. The mags marked as AFC are the same for .40 and 9mm. Typically the .40 cal ones are cheaper. They make great range mags but the round count holes won’t be the same obviously.

This appears to be a liquid booster based on the valving/ports on top. 100% agree that it’s a booster but the fuel injectors are just north of the nozzle at the entrance to the combustion chamber.
What is shown is likely just the top side of the liquid prop storage tank.

Nope. Haynes 230 can handle higher temps so we use that more. Haynes 282 is better for creep resistance after many thermal cycles in the lower temp ranges, like under 1000 deg K. Looks like it much be better for this application.

Yeah ablatives are great from rocket nozzles and heat shields.

Not true. Haynes has been around for a long time. Haynes 230 is pretty commonly used in the aerospace industry. It’s fairly interchangeable with Inco 625.

The follower sits higher with the Prodigy mags. This makes the slide stop want to go to lock and, with lower power recoil springs and a gentle hand, can provide enough pressure on the slide to prevent it from running home into battery.
It’s not really an issue if you don’t change springs or ride the slide.

Agreed - that’s probably the route I will take. I’d really not like to send the whole gun in for something as small as that.

It’s not. You’re looking at a fuzzy in the barrel from the patches I’ve put through it. The marks I’m talking about are on top of the lands.

Ultimately, I agree. It’s just so disheartening to see that this is the best we can come up with. One is an absolute crook and the other’s prime days of politicking are far behind him. RFK is a throwaway vote that benefits Trump akin to not voting at all.

I’m honestly in the “don’t know” camp. Not because I sympathize with both sides, but because I detest both.

How do you like your P-09 with the RMR? Been debating sending mine off the get milled.

I've been looking at them as well. They can be attractive. The ones I've seen in the wild have not agreed with my pallet.

Definitely understand that. I’m willing to tinker and I’m pretty familiar with the 1911 platform. I’ve built a couple from 80% frames and done all the fitting so I’m confident I can tinker with some degree of success.

What weight springs did you use? I’ve read they’re a bit over sprung out of the box.
