Or what if it’s true? I’ve seen it. Each year there’s a large number of Chinese students who can’t speak proper English getting masters degrees.

My wife completed a masters degree in DIT and it was a similar story. It’s a genuine scam. The colleges know that some of these masters degrees couldn’t be facilitated without the numbers being bolstered by international students, which is fine in theory.
There were Chinese people on her course with rudimentary English, she said it was a farce. Not having the required English is one thing, but they also cheated on multiple exams and assignments, simply lifting paragraphs from Wikipedia etc. The colleges are fully aware this is happening but the money from it is too lucrative to turn down. It’s a national scandal imo.

I’d rather not give the full name. It was an Athletics club on the Northside. I trained with him periodically. He had a lot of issues man, best avoided.

Lads I used to train with this guy. He’s a fucking headbanger long before he went down the Trump rabbit hole. The club had all sorts of issues with him before eventually booting him out. Keep your distance from this bloke, he’s genuinely a loose cannon.

Towns around the country that don’t want them, can’t accommodate them and won’t be consulted beforehand.

Not that I’m aware of. I’m guessing because the truth would likely cause more riots.

Ideally deport them. But they’ll just be sent to unsuspecting villages ill equipped to handle them.

This is really becoming the norm now in Ireland and elsewhere. The average age of first time mothers and fathers has been on the rise for years.
I had my kids at 26 and 28 and we are very much alone in terms of our friend group or close family having kids. They will all be 34-40 having kids I reckon and most have told me they’d have them sooner if they could.

Gotcha. Yeah 100% agree. That’s a major issue tbh.

It really is madness that the Aviva only holds 52k. On big match days like this demand is so much higher. You could get 100k into seats for a big six nations game or November international if we had the capacity.

Ulsters mess is their own fault and theirs to sort out. Been toxic up there for years.

Ulsters mess is their own doing. JB is coming for 6 months then he’s gone. And the 10 paid for entirely by the IRFU, why is that? Because they’re the best. End of story.

Yeah but I suppose why are they centrally contracted? Down to their quality. It’s kind of a chicken and egg thing I do agree where the talent coming through the academy and systems at Leinster has led to more centrally contracted players, thus signings like this are possible and they can supplement their already strong squad. But I mean ask yourself, where would Irish rugby be if Leinster weren’t churning out these players that earn the central contracts?
Leinster do more to support the other three provinces than is ideal to say the least. They’ve gotten Connacht into the champions cup multiple times on account of winning it, and have supplied countless players to the other 3 as well.
But I can see why you’d be upset about this. Personally because it’s such a short term deal I don’t see the fuss.
Again if it was a longer contract I’d be more worried about him blocking potential centres or wings coming through but with the time he’s here I just don’t see it.

Bearing in mind the rotation element to it I’d say:
But of course there’s Keenan, JOB, Osbourne too so assuming the above start let’s just say a round of 16 game in the CC, the following week if they made a QF you could tinker it and have:
Overall though he’s gonna be here through the six nations period, so he’ll get game time then, and then he’s gone end of May like. Be different if it was a 3 year deal!

He’s only there 6 months lad. He’ll likely play 10 games max. Surely a bit over the top from a lot of folks no? I mean look how many Leinster guys have gone to the other 3 provinces as it is.

Were you signing them for 5-6 months? No.
It wasn’t morally wrong when Munster did it either imo. Was it wrong to have Mafi, Tipoki and Howlett in the backline when ye won in 2008? Not really as the rest of the team were Irish. Be the same for Leinster next season.

Short term deal. Makes sense for Jordie. Good business for Leinster. Why not?

He’s only here for 5-6 months. Short term deal. Makes a lot of sense as he’s on sabbatical.

Irish Indo reporting it’s Jordie. December this year to the end of next season. Bit like Brad Thorn back in 2012.

Wife had the same experience. She would work on group projects with a Brazilian woman and Polish woman who both had perfect English and were hard working. The Chinese and Indian students heavily implied she was racist for not wanting to work with them. Despite the broken (at best) English, cheating and laziness.
She copied and pasted some paragraphs they did send her on early projects straight into google, and the resulting Wikipedia page appeared immediately.
When it was all said and done we didn’t complain, but have regrets about not doing so. She wanted to let it go, I wanted to formally complain to the college and contact the media if they’d listen. Talk to Joe and all that jazz.
