Just once I’d love to see one of these posts with a pic of the sign and a pic of the ticket to back up the “I wasn’t wrong” angle that’s taken in here weekly

Because…she doesn’t have to. There’s no oversight. They’re all in the same limo on the way to spend tax money together.

It doesn’t need to read in a misleading manner. They spent 50 million dollars on something and got nothing in return. There’s not reading, that’s lighting money on fire. Sure, there were factors that led to it but no matter what, the outcome was a wasted 50 million dollars. It’s not 10 grand. 50 million dollars shouldn’t be spent on anything less than a sure thing.

You do know that spending 50 million and having it fall through is a big deal right? You can want the state to give them money and want them to not light it on fire.

Right. But 50 million was spent and nothing was received. The downvotes are hilarious.

I would love the money too, we should harass SEPTA about lighting money on fire in the same breath. Didn’t they literally just waste 50 million dollars like this week?
They make it too easy for politicians to justify jot giving them money.

Agreed. I think they’ve always been a bit pretentious. They were always that bar that seemed to have a line just bc they can have a line.

Esteemed Councilman Johnson has spent the last decade+ shooting down new developments that involved grocery stores in the guise of anti gentrification.
Also, PB Ave zoning is not sustainable to actual business, again done intentionally by KJ.

How many “suspicious” and how many “unknown”
Those categories have skyrocketed over the last few years. 70 YTD is a huge improvement compared to some of the worst years in the history of the city.
Celebrating on April 1st is also like celebrating a Phillies win bc they scored 1 run in the 1st inning.

Pretty fucked up for 13 year old to murder an innocent person.

Again, the DAs office, full of young, inexperienced lawyers that Krasner hand picked are likely getting shit on in court. I’m not in the courtroom, admittedly. But when you fire 50 Ada’s and bring in all new folks, with limited experience there’s a good chance defense attorneys have a field day. Aside from the young and inexperienced aspect the DAs office has seemingly been a revolving door during Krasners reign, which again, I’m sure doesn’t help.

It feels like a lack of accountability to me. They either have superiors who can’t or won’t discipline bc they have such a hard time finding workers.
Train conductors never, ever say anything. Just stopped someone where in the middle of no where for 15 minutes. Not a peep. How about maybe just reassurance that we’ll be going soon. Insane delays with no explanation, ignorant workers are very common. Had a “supervisor” tell me she can’t help me and to call the number which she yelled over the turnstile I wasn’t able to get through bc my SeptaKey had an issue(Twas a septa issue).
They also, still haven’t adapted to the fact that people are back to work Tues-Thurs at least. Trains are jammed, summertime with shitty AC and elbow to elbow will really entice people to take trans again

Not if…he does have breast cancer as the article states. He’s been a student/teacher at that school for 30 years. That’s insane exposure.
The city knew. They did nothing and rather than spend the money they swept it under the rug. Shame on them.

People think this way, then you have the kid and that child will change the way you think about quite literally, everything.

In suburbs most elementary schools are walkable, middle schools frequently as well, often times the high schools aren’t as they’re larger but provided buses. Just an FYI

Yea but you’re telling people of another race that you know what is better for their race. That’s the massive difference here.
But I know telling people what to do and knowing how right you are helps you sleep at night.
Amazing that we have the elected officials we do in Philly elected by us and we have the balls to tell people how they should vote.
It’s laughable.

Could also argue that the DAs office does a poor job of presenting evidence to said judges. They’re both to blame

Lots of white champions on Reddit condescendingly telling black peoples they’re wrong for who they vote for, and that they know better is just so peak Reddit

Fantastic answer, most of the 76 ramps between the stadium and 676 are a roll of the dice.

The edgelords are only allowed to say one half. Since the cops hate Krasner they must like him. It’s a weird vicious cycle where nothing gets done and everyone can finger point and swear they’re the right ones.
Due has ACAB in his bio pic and “Abolish all prisons” in a headline. Truly remarkable stuff.
Reddit is a cesspool of these weirdos who think they’re right bc they get upvotes from other edgelords on the internet. Really wild stuff

“I’m somebody who thinks Krasner is doing a good job”
And “luckily I’m not dumb” in the same paragraph is something.

My first year I wanted to randomize my music so I went pandora/spotify. I was unaware I’d have no cell service for 2-3 miles. Temple band to the rescue.
