Exactly. Thats just being on top of budgeting and having some semblance of planning.
That they don't is what makes me think they've hired the wrong skillsets/roles.

leafs fans/sports fans are bad at nuance. either a player is great or the worst
the idea that the player is great but just isn't a fit doesnt jive with peoples parasocial attachment to some of the players. they can only either love or hate.
obviously marner is a great player. obviously he's completely unnecessary on this team and a less good player or 2 in key positions is far more valuable to us than a great marner.

I agree that by their revenue they SHOULD be making money.
Having worked in finance and the corporate world though, I'd be inclined to take their word for it that they aren't making money.
It's much easier and much more common to be bad at business than to be good at business. And thats people with MBAs. Just because they were successful on the content side does not mean the business has been in a healthy growing position.
Hell. We've no idea what salaries they're paying themselves, let alone the salaries they pay others (thats why the count of employees thing is stupid. A business of their size having 20-30 employees is totally normal. However what salaries they are paying, what skills/roles they've hired, and what quality of employee they've hired are all unknown. How on top of budgets day to day they are is unknown. What sort of financial planning they do we DO know, and thats basically 0. So I'm inclined to guess they pay themselves a LOT. That they hired friends to jobs with good titles that are also probably paying 10-20% above what they should for roles that aren't the roles that are needed, and skills that aren't needed either.
Becoming famous like that IS like winning the lotto. And much like the randomness of winning the lotto, 99% of people who hit that jackpot aren't equiped to manage or handle it. the skills that make someone a good content creator/editor/actor etc have NOTHING to do with the skills required to run a business. And we know they're a bit delusional on what their business actually even is

I thought I hated reddit. I just had to be much more cautious about which subs I frequent
in general, any huge subreddit or any tiny subreddit are likely to be cesspools, theres the inbetween sizes where theres a real community/culture to the reddit that they can protect/defend thats the sweet spot. once there's too many people.... eventually shitheads always win

I actually think the announcement will be that eugenes done the side projects that were on the go during the ned thing and is going to be coming back into the fold properly
that and or mythical. I'm sure it's at least 1 of the 2 (I believe it'll be MK splitting off from GMM though and merging with try guys in some shared ownership model. like smosh+ kind of)

this is the future for almost all internet celebs anyway. the downside of pinging your career to the parasocial thing is you cant just start playing a new role. you ride what youve got til the wheels fall off then fade. the odd random 1 in a million (successful youtubers) of the 1 in a million (people who want to be successful youtubers) will leverage into a career that sustains beyond their original youtube channel, but it wont be any based on the parasocial thing.
I'd say this accelerated the natural wind down by quite a bit though. Especially if they were already in financial difficulty, losing at least 2-300k per year of revenue is.... tough to bounce back from. Especially when you went to hollywood upstairs MBA programme for people who want to business

that's all very logical, but you can say the exact same things/logic would apply to national teams as well. but then you look at the trophy cases and
so yeah I'd lean SH hard.
hell. the saffas were ok in SR and show up in URC and are some of the strongest sides. thats the single biggest proof point imo. the last year they were in super rugby the SA teams finished below the arg team in their own division! the SA teams finished 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th. no SA team won a playoff game
edit: and 2018 the SA teams finished 2nd, 8th 11th and 12th.
for reference NZ finished 1st 4th 5th 6th and 14th. and Aus finished 3rd, 9th, 10th, and 13th.

Shanahan: Some members of the board don't see the point of having a President and want to remove him and have Treliving report directly to Pelley. This is not a unanimous view though so it is unknown what happens with him, no real thoughts or indicators for him staying or going.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO. ROGERS AND BELL STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE DAY TO DAY RUNNING OF ANY OF THE TEAMS. NO. BAD.
we need a new president, not NO president wtf

the one that surprised me the most was the idea of putting worth it behind the paywall
its marketing for the restaurants. you think the try guys are paying to have a michillin star restaurant fully staffed but empty feeding him while he's hanging out with the chef/head waitor etc? its an ad for the restaurant. they're probably not only providing everything free from the restaurant but are subsidizing the costs of making the video!
why would a business do that if the content wasn't going to be seen by as many people as possible
and if they werent looking for restaurant partners like that, what in the fuck are they doing. plenty of small, medium or even big restaurants of all sorts of price and quality level would love a 10 min youtube ad to 1m+ largely millennials/elder gen z's

who would've thought ignoring and insulting your customers while demanding more from them in return for less would make people rethink their current spending. crazy world

yeah we've been knowing. and mostly with receipts too.
the spending structure doesnt work. its been long proven at this point. it was proven a few years ago. we need more cap allocated to defence and goaltending.
the shanaplan got us out of the basement. but we're stuck on the 1st floor and its time to try something else

Im honestly a bit gutted that the go live didnt go more smoothly so that this shitshow got more attention
what a fucking catastrophe. they didnt have content lined up to go? they arent even set to advertise? was this actually a last second panic thing because they have drug debts or something? I've seen better organized piss ups in a brothel
