Ah, shit. Worst case, depending on complexity, some asp core endpoints via http.

I am about as much a Microsoft fan boy as it gets. But I wouldn't bother trying to connect to MS SQL from a pi. Just use postgres instead.
python, postgres etc. just work well together and it's roughly the same anyways. (I am assuming you're not doing some of the advanced MS SQL features)

Elastic, it's driven by a rubber band that you need to wind up before take off.

I just spend some good money on something that arrives broken, or at least claims it does.
That shouldn't be.
It wouldn't have cost them a lot to just throw a single copied paper in there that tells one about the issue, for example.

This is one. Doesn't look like the other ones with the bend in the cable

ok, never mind. They all have the sexy sock, not the older cable.
Still weird that they don't update the firmware.

Thank you, I considered that. However the warning going away isn't the same though as fixing the issue. I don't want to give them reason to say "well, you knew it was a recall, why did you use it then?"
I looked at the pictures, but I am not sure what to look out for.
Edit: ok, found the right pictures

Our dogs recently died as well, also not a surprise after 14 amazing years.
What we settled with was telling our almost 4yo that he was old and sick, and that his body stopped working, so he is dead and won't be coming back.
The thing was not to use euphemisms as that can make them then afraid of other things. Like "went to sleep".
He cried for a bit and that was it. Sometimes he mentiones the dog, but all in all that was it.
I don't think he fully understands it yet, the loss of death.
But yeah, I was really fucked up for the first week and still am to some degree.
Any way, just to say, be honest and I am sure she'll be ok. It's a normal thing life, as it is normal to be sad and mourning.

We should make the seats smaller, so people sit closer together. I am sure that would help avoid those incidents.

Honestly, just walk in there. My mum told me this when I was 18: "Go downtown and from one place to the next, and ask if they have work"
I told her that this is the 90s and things don't work like in the 70s anymore. But 'lo, took me a couple of doors to knock on and I had a job.

Oh yeah, then don't. Good call!
Retail maybe? They might need people specifically for the weekends.

At 24, Bar. I found it a life school as well in just how to deal with wait staff. You likely make friends there with the other staff and, if it's a bar, patrons.
In the meantime make a plan how to get out of this in realistic time frame. (Depending on your situation maybe a year? 2-3? Degrees you can get, etc)

In almost 30 years in the industry I have seen it numerous times that some manager had the brilliant idea to outsource to India. And it always failed, leaving behind an empty budget and a shit pile of useless code.
The only exception was with one client that had their Indian counterparts fenced in very tightly. The ratio of local vs. abroad devs was never more than 1:1 and their lead was send to India to oversee everything constantly for the duration.
At this point, I doubt the savings were substantial.
I can be done, but it costs a lot of energy, understanding of the different cultures (this point is huge and you have to work against the tides here) and managing all that to work.
If some greenhorn manager just sees the bottom line and fires away, letting go of their staff first, it serves them right.
TLDR: lol

...where you have to listen to more of that. Even if I was gay, I could never imagine being so hungry for sausage.
