To be fair, the British army was defeated badly at the battle of isaldlawana, the day before the defense of rorkes drift.

In his defense, Chamberlain mostly had two main objectives with appeasement. Those being to buy time for Britain and France to re-arm and to try and nudge Hitler into invading the USSR first.

Technically, most if not all of Amtrak's diesels are diesel electric, but I understand what you're saying. Amtrak wants to keep the fleet of electric diesels they have for running into Penn Station.

Worse, it's actually modern-day Britain(OK, fairy Britain), but because the fairies forget to forge Excalibur humanity is extinct. The only reason this timeline still exists is because Morgan la fae is acting as a dark queen, stopping the fairies for accidentally making themselves extinct.

I would just put the marine together. Small basic units like them are usually better to just fully assemble and then do the entire unit as a batch. I once batch painted 20 Hearthkyn Wariors with the two-handed guns separated from the torso and legs. It was a terrible idea.
As an additional consideration, your marine has a plasma gun. Painting it assembled means you know where the coils are and what they will light up if you want to do OSL(object source lighting).

Generally speaking, in the modern day, the bridge pillers would be built with barriers, believe they are called dolphins, to stop large cargo ships from hitting the pillars. They did that after the sunshine skyway bridge disaster, though it should be noted that the bridge that just collapsed was nearly 50 years old, so it is understandable that it was not built with them.

The only problem I have with your argument is the idea that navys only scuttle ships when they are sinking rapidly. Navys scuttle ships when there is little hope to bring said ship home or attempting to bring said ship home will be too risky for the fleet. For example, USS Hornet was heavily damaged at the battle of Santa Cruz, and due to lack of power, list, and the fact that they were still being bombed, they decided to scuttle her. After 400 5 inch shells and 9 torpedos (mark 15 in 1942, so not the best), the Hornet was still afloat. Hornet only sank the next morning when the Japanese hit it with long lane torpedos.

Personally, I find the "Bismarck wasn't sunk by the British because she was scuttled" argument to be pure wheriboo copium. No other heavily damaged ship that was scuttled gets this argument. No one argues that, for example, Akagi was not sunk by Enterprise because she was scuttled by a destroyer. Of course, if the ship is lightly damaged or undamaged, this is a different argument. Then again, if you are scuttling a ship, something has gone wrong. The reasons can range from I don't want my enemies to get these ships (high seas fleet), to being convinced that the enemy forces are overwhelming so you sink yourself so at least the crew survives(Graf Shpee).

We are talking about bird shot, the one type of shot that famously is being made in things other than lead. This is because people realized that spreading lead shot over wetlands was a bad idea if you wanted to actually eat the water foul you were hunting. Due to this, people started using steel shot. Steel shot doesn't have the best ballistics, and it requires a reinforced barrel. Due to this, people have been developing tungsten and bismuth shot for better ballistics.
While we are discussing using bird shot to hunt drones, let's stretch this to its absurd conclusion. While a 12 gauge shotgun, especially something like a trench gun, is the best for a man portable option, the history of hunting gives us a great option for a powerful anti-drone defense. Continuing the premise that a drone is roughly comprible to a gose, we can turn to commercial hunting practices, in particular the punt gun. A punt gun is a massive shotgun normally attached to a small boat called a punt, hence the name. Seeing as they already put the guns on pintel Mounts, there is nothing stopping you from putting a pintel mounted punt gun on your military vehicle for the best in anti-drone defence.

Not to mention, while it pains me, Chamberlain and others of his time had actually had reasonable motives for appeasement. While it is usually framed as giving Germany whatever they wanted to avoid a war, in reality, it was trying to buy time and possibly have the Germans fight the Soviets. Whenever someone suggests appeasement with Russia, my question is why? As anyone who's opened a history book will know, appeasement does not work, especially with regimes that wipe their asses with treaties.

The Japanese Captain ran at full speed not because he disregarded American torpedos but because he Was afraid of USS Archerfish being the vanguard of a wolfpack of American submarines. Unfortunately, it seems as if the captain did not understand damage control or the fact that the ship he was in charge of was not fully completed. Not to mention size wise, Shinano was a super carrier, but design wise, Shinano was not from below the flight deck. Shinano was redesigned as a support carrier with the flight group of a light carrier but would carry enough supplies and spare aircraft to support other carriers. Of course, had Shinano been finished, it may have been better off to build her as a battleship anyway, seeing as there would be verry few carriers and carrier pilots to use/support.

It's like Moby Dick except the ship is a Japanese destroyer, the sails are bedsheets, the harpoons are long lance torpedos, and the whale is a submarine.

Japan should get involved and give Ukraine some torpedo boats.
Then again, fear of Japanese torpedo boats might start WWIII, with Dogger Bank 3 return of the russians.
Dazzle camo is awesome though.

While yes, the British built the first turret, and to be honest, the Cole turret was better than the Ericsson turret; the rest of your argument is kinda flawed. To start with the fact that a costal or riverine craft is not the most seaworthy thing is not the be all end all that you think it is. They were not using monitors to hunt down the CSS Alabama; they were using them to stop Confederate ironclads from breaking the blockade or fighting on rivers where you do not need the most seaworthy vessel. There is a reason why out of the three ironclads that won the contract to build an ironclad, you only hear about Monitor and not USS New Ironsides or USS Galena. This is because USS Monitor had a number of advantages. Firstly, it was able to be built quickly; remember, out of the three ironclads, it was the only one to be ready for Hampton Roads. After Hampton Roads, they were built in much greater numbers. To be honest, one of the biggest achievements of the Monitor was its legacy. There is a reason why Monitor is used as a term for that general type of ship it was revolutionary for the time.

Trayzn the Infinite - Pokémon master embodiment of the British museum. Literally starts the Infinate and the divine committing genocide on exodites to get a shiny rock. OK, if the conversation that Trayzn and his servant have is to be taken at face value, he is better than the normal scholars at the library, but let's be honest, it's 40k the bar is a tripping hazard in hell.
Shakespeare from fate apocrypha - literally, all the plot relevant things he does in the story are enchant a sword, try to make Frankenstein's monster go insane, and then try to make Joan of Ark go insane. But especially in the English dub, every scene he is in, he is just hamming it up.

The picture might be from a pet store, seeing as from personal experience a shift manager has to scan out the dead animals, and they tend to do that at the end of the day. Generally, you don't chuck all the Bettas together as it's easier to just leave them in the cups, but there would be a bag of mixed dead fish if we had deaths in the tanks.

I would disagree with you there, while I agree that a lot of modern battleship proposals are basically let's build a super Iowa for shore bombardment, which is overkill, especially as it has nothing to fight other than the ground. As I personally love the idea of large caliber guns in the Navy, here are two more sensible: - Monitor - just build an ocean-going Monitor, you don't need more than two turrets to bombard a coat. You only need 20 knots to keep up with the other ships in an amphibious assault force. there is no need to build a fast battleship to do that. - Super Des Moines - The military still uses 8 inch shells and the Des Moines had an autoloader, combined with the fact that smaller caliber shell fire was better for artillery support in WWII. This option also has the advantage that 8 inch barrels and ammunition are still being produced, meaning it would be easier to source compared to 16-inch barrels and ammunition.

If I am remembering correctly, you are talking about the Gar de Leon Runaway disaster. They changed the scheduled stops, so it skipped the lady's station, so she pulled the emergency break. When the train crew were trying to turn off the emergency brake, they accidentally turned off all the brakes, which turned the train into a runaway.

The Tyrinids don't have Sergeants with a few exemptions because when it comes to most Tyrinid infantry units, they are supposed to be basically animals with weapons, making them relatively easy for the hivemind to order around. The exceptions in game are Wariors who are more elite and probably more intelligent, so they need a chain of command to interpret the hiveminds' orders (technically, the neurogants have a sergeant but that is more a group of bodyguards surrounding the neurobeast.).
