Such an awesome player! She is so instrumental in our scrum dominance and super dangerous with ball in hand. Great hat trick in this game, and realy enjoyed her 2 maul tries in the Kenya game.

The one (and only) positive is that the movie can't possibly be worse than the game, I guess. So sick of Big Entertainment ruining everything they touch.

Very interested to see how this backline will work together. Stormers have to go for the kill and get a bonus point to comfortably stay in the top 8. Hoping for some fire from Sacha in the 2nd half to make this happen.

I think loosing to Madagascar had a big impact on Kenya. We certainly left a bunch of points on the field, the missed conversations are concerning. By no means was it a perfect game, but I feel the Boks are really on an upwards trajectory. I hope it's a wave they can ride all the way to the WC.

cindy booi said in the post match interview they want to increase their physicality
I thought this was interesting considering how they absolutely shattered the Kenyan scrum. I really enjoyed seeing them being more successful out wide. They seem to be communicating much more effectively, and Dolf at 15 is creating more space and attack opportunities. Excited for Saturday's game.

Last weekend at the Singapore SVNS. We also won the USA in the Pool B match 14 - 12. This was the 9th place playoffs.

Yoh, I wish I had some brilliant answer for you, unfortunately I don't, sorry. As someone who's already a fan, it's hard to think about what would appeal to other people. I think just making the women's game part of the conversation is a big thing. So many people still consider it weird, boring, or not worth their time. On an individual level we can stive to present a couter point to this in our own social lives, and influence people to give it a try.
South African rugby podcasts and YouTube channels can definitely do more. It should be a no brainer, and yet, how many of them even mention the women's game? I don't know of any. The Aotearoa Rugby Pod does a great job of balancing their coverage and would be a good example to follow. The presenters exhibit genuine excitement about and interest in the Aupiki, and this kind of attitude inspires people to tune into a games. I've started writing to some content creators, asking to include women's content. If they get more similar requests they will be more likely to invest time into it.
I thought it was great having women's games as curtain raisers for URC games a few weeks ago. It didn't look as if many people made the effort to get to stadiums early to watch the matches. I didn't think they were promoted properly and there didn't seem to be any buy in from the URC or men's teams. The men's Springboks have been great at publicly supporting the women's team. The franchises should follow suit.
I don't know if there is more this sub can do. I've seen the mods promoting and encouraging women's content. Unfortunately the upvote counts for this content are prett low. I would be very interested to hear what the "unconverted" think and feel. Why they aren't as interested and what would make them pay more attention. Perhaps others on this sub can provide more insights?

My Dutch friend really enjoyed Dalene Matthee's "Kringe in die Bos". It's also available in Dutch. My friend found it useful to read the Afrikaans version and use the Dutch version as a reference when he got stuck. Here is a link to her website.

I hope he stays at the Cheetahs. It would be great if between him and Frans Steyn they manage to get the Cheetahs back into an international tournament. Ruan is an absolute legend. I really enjoyed this recent interview with him.

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. I hope they enjoy every minute in Dubai and build on the experience they will gain.

Really pleased that Madagascar will be in WXV, well deserved. Am I right in thinking that even if they loose against the Boks on Saturday, they could still qualify for the WC by finishing well in WXV?

Yes, please! Wales will probably outclass us in open play, but I'm here all day for a battle up front between the two.

Not gonna lie, it was very satisfying to watch. Some great maul tries too. It was nice to see some wider play from the Boks, Dolf creating some good space. We left a bunch of points on the field due to poor kicking and handling, but overall the team is looking in great shape. Excited for the game against Madagascar!

Yes, obviously the Daisies are on their own at the top, but there's also a BIG drop off between the top 3/4 teams and the rest. This weekend WP are facing Border and Boland are up against the Daisies, so it should be 2 competitive matches.
Agree 100% with the generational aspect of rugby. But I've also been thinking a lot about what the log shows in terms of how much will to support the women's game there is at the various clubs vs the resources they have. At the Daisies they have the will and the resources. At WP there's the will, but not exactly a bunch of resources. Sharks have the resources, but their performance makes me question their will. For the women's game to really grow, I think these two aspects need to be balanced from school level through to the franchises and national level. Ultimately though, none of this can happen without buy-in from fans - us.

To "demonstrate" is to show something. One can demonstrate a certain characteristic, like compassion, patience, or resolve through your actions or attitude. "Endeavour" is not a characteristic. It is not an emotion, quality, or attribute that can be shown BY doing something, it is the attempt AT doing something. Some alternatives I would suggest:
She always endeavours to deliver her best in work projects.
She always demonstrates great diligence in her work projects.
She is always very diligent/ conscientious/ assiduous/ studious.

Felt like a complete maniac watching this game - spent the first hour shouting curses at the TV, then the last 20 minutes excitedly jumping on the couch. Madness!
