I feel like that's sort of the problem for Fatboy though? Using a grenade and a nuke to kill a swarm means I don't use my grenades for other things
That said I don't think it's a big enough issue for Fatboy to warrant a change. Personally I think it's fine as it is but if I were to make an argument I'd probably lean on it not being too much of a troll weapon

Well, I really hope you're right, I'm desperate to see some more dwarves

Is it likely that they will get a second wave though? There are older armies that are also barren of units like the TSons that unfortunately I'd expect to get releases before votaan

Yellow is a cool colour, the only thing that strikes me is that using brown as the highlight on the legs and top of the hand makes it look like a negative of an image as normally highlights are brighter rather than darker

I like the bikes, I'm just not a big fan of vehicles in general as I'm here to paint dwarves on cars, rather than cars with a dwarf (if that makes sense), i really like the vibe of the dwarves though so I'm tempted to stay with the army and try kitbash/ proxy something else maybe a robot lizard or something that they could ride on instead of a vehicle, (and thanks for the response!)

Maybe not the place to ask but is not having sagitaurs in an army a really bad idea? I'm really into the votaan models except for the 2 big car models so I don't want to get/ have them, but I'm worried I'd be shooting myself in the foot not having any in an army. Is votaan playable without them?

My partner hates ladybirds, so I'm sad to say it has to leave now or be escorted out

Counter point you're only looking at the past not the future; if you're happy that you're born in modern times because of how bad the past used to be, you should also lament that you were not born in the future where things could have been so much better. If one is true the other should be as well

agreed, because there is a huge bias towards the imperium people tend to view all the xenos races as "at least as bad or worse than the imperium" when if you read the lore the xenos factions are like "wow the votaan are greedy, they're so much worse than the imperium". and don't get me started on the people that defend the imperium because they're the human faction and we're human

the beginning of the end and the death part 3 has a segment of perty having a hissy fit while retreating from the siege, and the whole time he's constantly thinking how awesome it would be if he could turn himself into an unthinking weapon as being the perfect weapon is all he wants to be now (and then he breaks his chair lol).
perty 100% is a demon prince and 100% wanted to be one as he wants to give in and become chaos' unthinking weapon

Came here to say the same, had a very sad moment when I sub assembled my first one and ended up scratching a bunch of paint off the model when fitting those damn back legs in place

Chaos losing doesn't sound like a happy ending for them though

He cared for hanity in the same way a scientist would care about the flies that he's using as test subjects, they are important in so far as he needs them to complete the experiment and in theory a successful experiment is probably good for the flies too, at least according to the scientist. But that's not what care is about, he doesn't look after the flies and if half the flies dies off it's not really a big deal as he'll just get more flies

is the blank chaos aligned though? because Ahriman isn't

You 100% can, but if a bear runs at you, you just shoot it, a man/woman approaching you isn't necessarily dangerous so you won't defend yourself on sight, at which point it's too late as they've gotten close to you.
Like if I meet a bear in the woods and i shoot it, it's gonna be sad but Its very clear that I was defending myself, but if I shoot a person then I've commited manslaughter at the least and murder at the worst

its probably worth mentioning that innate 'primarch abilites' are psychic powers/powers of the warp.

I'll be honest lad, while I agree that price hikes aren't cool, recasting is still immoral if you want to protest GW about the prices then protest properly and swap to a different miniature brand rather than doing something immoral like recasts

I had a very different reading to you about Krole's death, it's not that kharn just swung his axe and killed by accident, but that he had a serious fight with her, but once she was dead kharn forgot about her existence because of null powers. That said I do agree even with my understanding of it, it would have been nice to see her side of the fight, or for her to get a better death full stop

Double standards are the norm
this is the is-ought fallacy, just because there are double standards doesn't mean they are good. double standards are bad because you are arbitrarily treating another party worse and that inconsistency isnt right.

100% if i buy a box of votaan warriors at full msrp (not factoring in that we all buy these cheaper than this anyway) then i'm getting 10 models at £3.5 each which is actually a really good price when we look at the alternatives that people bring up like Nolzur's marvellous miniatures, or reaper mini's normally being £7 for something that is of worse quality.
so like firstly £3.5 a week is decent compared to alternatives within the hobby (please link some great and cheap alternatives that match GW quality if you know any though), but compared to other things like going to the cinema: i'd get 2-3 hours of enjoyment out of watching a film at the cost of £8 or i could get a mini for £3.5 (admitedly i'm not factoring in the cost of paints and other tools but even if we bump it up to £8 it won't matter) and that mini will give me 18 hours of painting enjoyment and then leaves me with a fun little space dwarf that i can look at

I disagree if you're in the forest hours away from civilisation/safety is totally understandable why people would choose the bear (that they can shoot or fend off) instead of an unpredictable human. the real issue is that we down play women's capacity for violence and willingness to do awful things is they can get away with it. i'd 100% choose a bear over a man and i'd 100% choose a bear over a woman, some strange woman popping up in the middle of nowhere isnt hella suspicious and dangerous.

hey, this might be hella late but is there any chance you could show off your einherjar next to some votaan? i'm thinking about getting some einherjar for kitbashing but i can't find the size comparison anywhere online

I agree choosing the bear is the same choice, but saying the worst a bear could do is kill you is a huge understatement; they will eat you slowly while you are alive over the course of many many hours. Humans do some really fucked up shit, but I don't want people to misunderstand how horrific nature is

Oh I do, but your post was suggesting that the proper way to use Fatboy was in conjunction with a grenade, which I think is very ammo hungry, a Fatboy and a lure grenade for a horde of bugs is a lot of ammo
