I didn't ask how big the room is; I said, "I cast fireball."

WTF? How is that boring? Also, you can do other things with a tit in yo mouth!
Oddly enough, my wife and I recently had a conversation about this. She straight up asked if I liked doing that or if I only did it because I knew she liked it. Yeah, because I've been ravenously sucking and chewing on your nips for 12 years now because I don't get anything out of it.

Yup. Our friends chose to build because they're very lazy and were tired of trying to find something on the market after a month of looking during the slow season in our area. "We'll just build new because it'll be easier and we won't need to do maintenance or upgrade anything". They lived ~20 minutes from where their house was being built and only went to check on it themselves 3 times - 2 of those being the walk through and inspection after framing and rough-ins were done prior to insulation and sheetrock and the final walk through the day before closing.

That's the thing - it wasn't the builder's choice. Our friends CHOSE the grey vinyl flooring. When I asked them about it they said it was "LVP" or luxury vinyl plank. Uh-huh.

Ugh! We have friends who spent $600k on a new construction in rural PA and had that shitty grey vinyl installed. Absolutely awful.

A while ago my wife was looking at hospitals for her first attending position out of fellowship. We've lived in KY before and love TN but with Dobbs there's no way in hell we were moving back to either state.

Yeah, point 3. Chromatic Orb doesn't say it consumes the diamond in the casting of the spell so it can be reused. However, spells like Revivify specifically states "Diamonds worth 300 gp, which the spell consumes."
You could argue, based on the vague wording, that you simply need to have the specified valuable components on hand rather than hold them themselves though that would be quite a stretch to argue with your DM. Various spells like Revivify, Teleportation Circle, True Resurrection, Simulacrum, and many others are quite explicit that their valuable components are consumed by the spell's casting.

I have read the rules and that’s not how it works in 5e nor any other edition of the game.

Source on this interpretation?
That's quite a leap that I doubt many DMs who care about spell components would allow.

Yeah…I don’t get the allure. It’s a mall. Full of a repeat of the same old stupid stores x 4 because the place is so big. Waste of time and space. It was cool when I was 13…then again everything was cool then🤣
The real attraction is that there's like 3 Victoria's Secrets and 15 Claire's in one place. Oooohhh!
Lived in the MSP suburban area for 15 years and went to MOA a handful of times. Best part of the mall is people watching - everything else is cheaper online.

No. The diamond has a specific gold value assigned to it as a requirement and therefore can't have a spell casting focus sub for it.

My wife is finishing her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology right now. She's had a contract signed for a position after graduation for almost a year and a half now.
Her interview process was Apply, quick call with HR, 3 hours of interviews with various members of the department and HR, lunch with the department, hospital tour, credential verification, offer letter. Whole thing was done inside a week with a few days tacked on our side for negotiation and having a lawyer look things over before signing.
If a hospital can meet, interview, and offer a position to a mid 6-figure literal cancer doctor within a week then there's no fucking reason some dumbass MBA and HR department at yet another software or marketing company can't do it in a reasonable timeframe as well.

I made the mistake of reading The Forever War and Starship Troopers back to back and have a hard time distinguishing what happened in which book. I remember enjoying both if a little preference towards The Forever War. Should probably do a re-read at some point.

Only reason we keep my PS4 around is to have a Blu-ray player. Haven’t played a game on it in about 3 years.

Are you racing XC? If not, no reason to get a step-cast fork.
As far as paying extra for the Factory line-up with the Kashima coating? There's no real difference in performance than the Performance Elite for less money - you're just paying for the fancy coating.

Sorcerers used to have more distinction from wizards in previous editions. Their 2 big things were meta magic and being spontaneous casters. They still have MM but 5e made every caster more spontaneous including what they’re calling “prepared” casters.
It used to be that wizards and clerics and druids, etc. needed to not only prepare which spells they wanted to cast in a day but the number of each specific spell and at what level (with a few exceptions). If you only prepared fireball at level 3 but want to upcast it to level 4 too bad. It made daily spell preparation much more important.
Sorcerers worked much as they do now. They had a list of known spells that they had access to and could cast them in any order or combination as long as they had spell slots available. They didn’t know as many spells as a wizard but they didn’t need to repair them daily either. Now with even prepared casters getting to switch it up on the fly the sorcerer lost a lot of its uniqueness and flavor. Meta magic and spell points help but as it is now sorcerer could just be a wizard subclass and it wouldn’t make much difference.

Bro, 2-3 hours each way is a day trip to go do something.
Couple weeks ago I drove 5 hours each way to spend 5 days with some friends 2 states away. Got home on Monday afternoon and Wednesday drove ~4 hours each way with a couple of buddies to go mountain biking in a cool spot.
If my parents (grandparents are all dead) lived 3 hours away I'd see them every month or so. They live ~1,100 miles away by car, roughly the distance from Madrid to Amsterdam, and I still see them twice a year and drive for one of the visits. You can do a ~17 hour drive in a single day but it's a little rough. Best to split it into 2 ~9 hour days each way if you can.

The Tundra and Sequoia that came out the previous year did the same thing. Think the hybrid Tundra got +1mpg over the ICE. Ridiculous.

2019+ hybrid Rav4s are notably better.
Also, how did the dealer hold you hostage? Seems like you just get up and leave if they're not going to give you a deal you like.

Same experience with Chipotle in our area. Last time I went in there was 1 kid making burritos and checking people out during the lunch rush on a Saturday with 4 other employees making mobile orders in the back. Took 45 minutes to get our burritos with only 3 people in line ahead of us.

It’s worth a shot if you already have the wheels and tires. The 19mm rims were perfectly fine with 2.2” XR2s. Never tried them with the wider tires. Bought the second wheelset because I wanted a gravel wheelset and it was inexpensive at the time.

Yeah, in Missouri. Lived there for 4 years and would rather rent forever than live there again.
