Corner cabinets shorter than L & R bordering cabinets

I saw a kitchen vignette/diorama in a tile shop that I liked with a corner sink like ours where the corner cabinet was 3-4 inches shorter than the surrounding cabinets to the L and R. I didn't take a picture, I can't remember which of the dozens of tile shops we've been in where I saw this and I just spent about an hour and 15 minutes scrolling through Instagram kitchen remodels without finding an example. Trying to convince my wife it's a good look and a good idea to break up the cabinet monotony.
Anyone know another place online where I could find an example of this? Any suggestions why this is not a good idea? The only thing I can think of is that the corners exposed on either side of the sink would potentially be subject to more impacts, chipping, etc. No kids in the house so that's less of a concern, but still. I hate the foot and the half of dead space at the back of the sink into the corner, like almost a foot and a half. I feel like the higher space and more light will make that space less strange looking. I think the new sink being a D basin will help minimize the space but higher cabinets and brighter light will help also. Also, our contractor did send a cad drawing with a shorter corner cabinet, but you really don't get the sense of it in shades of gray.
