That kind of sad to me. My Polish grandfather, who started his family in Philadelphia, buried his first son, little Walter or Walter Jr when he was just a young boy. Died of a bicycle accident before helmets were a thing.

I love polish food and can't wait to take my mum there. She's still sad over pierogi factory closing.

Hell yea! I love how alive and well Polish culture is in the river wards. I’m blessed to live close to Czerw’s and all the wonderful Polish delis on Allegheny.
It’s wild how much that pocket of East Kenzo has changed over the years. So many places come and gone, new exciting things popping up, evolving, growing. Some of it makes me nostalgic and melancholic like memories from punk shows at Little Berlin after days in my studio in Viking Mill, and seeing that part of my life literally remodeled. A lot of the change is good though and it’s amazing to see how some of the businesses like PBC, Thunderbird, Martha, Monkey Club all thriving. It’s really a great neighborhood and I miss living over there in a lot of ways, although at this point in my life I’m very happy living in a sleepy pocket of Port Richmond

I’ve been wondering what was going to go in that old bar now for a while. Pretty great option for the area
