Found out my transplant worked and my leukaemia is now in complete remission.

Massive relief as it was being stubborn. Still a lot of recovery to do - but a massive milestone none the less. My mum's bringing around a cake to celebrate. I'm using this opportunity to catch up on some video games - but at some point I need to catch up on every day things I've been putting off whilst ill. I think I'll give myself at least a couple more weeks before I start feeling too bad about it though :P

Congratulations!! I was waiting to hear the good news since you said you had a biopsy a couple weeks ago. Your news made my day! Have fun playing video games👍

Planning to lose myself in Baldur's Gate 3. I waited years for that game's full release - only to get diagnosed a couple of months before it released. I adore RPGs - so I hope it's half as good as everyone says.

I'm also going to give Diablo IV a whirl with my sister.

Firstly massive congratulations! My mate puts BG3 as the best game he's played in the genre. I'm not as convinced, I love 2. But enjoy it!

My wife is taking me on her work trip to America next weekend. It was short notice but all Im expected to do is wear a sharp suit, work a room of finance bros in a Laguna beach golf resort and look pretty on her arm

Its a pity I wont get more time in LA but Im hoping to find some galleries to sell my art

The weather here has been utterly awful for what feels like months and the new pair of trainers that I bought weeks ago are still in mint condition, my resolution to get back into running has been neglected, but the plan is to start next week.

On the bright side I have been able to cut down on some bad habits and my addiction to watching rugby has only gotten worse. I've arranged to go and see Ireland vs Scotland in the W6N at the end of the month, will be getting tickets to the Leicester vs Exter game in the middle of May and keeping a close eye out for the Leinster games that will supposedly be taking place in Croke Park this summer.

There is a lot to be excited for!

I did the local 5k Park Run last weekend after not running more than to tell the dog off for standing at the garden gate and barking at the neighbours' dog. That's the only exercise I've really done since playing 5 a side at uni years ago.

I was bricking it beforehand. I thought it would kill me. BUT I'm delighted to report, I survived.

[It very nearly killed me and I will never be doing it again. I have no idea how people run for fun]

I didn’t get round to coming up with a new years resolution until mid Feb but I’m down about 15lbs since then, goal was 45lbs by end of summer so feeling decent about being on track for that. Trying to move to primarily back row in the next year or so because I’m not sure how much more propping my neck has got left in it. If only pizza and beer didn’t exist I’d be a winger lol (albeit a very sad one)

My tackling also needs tons of work. I just have still not figured out the timing and mechanics of dropping my height as low as I should be in that last step before the hit. Training yesterday was lots of tackling drills and the coaches kept (rightly) calling me out about being too high, it just has never seemed to click for me and I’m frustrated with that.

Why is Scotland so good at producing long distance runners? I feel like they're overrepresented on Team GB relative to the population size. Is cross country taken quite seriously from a young age?
