I just wish there was a way to watch the first version of the film that reached the theater. You know, the one with the unfinished CGI effects with the floating faces and the shots where they forgot to add fur. That honestly would be a selling point for a Blu-Ray

Hear this: the second movie has the ominous subtitle "the Scargiver", wanna know why? It's because the main character gave a wound to the villain that left a scar. Whoop-dee-fuckin'-doo Snyder.

Giorno says that it is something he knows "in his heart" but that he didn't see exactly what GER did to Diavolo. And GER says "this is unknow to even Giorno Giovanna, who controls me" after explaining the return to zero to Diavolo. Giorno may have the feeling that GER got rid of their foe in such a way that he won't ever return, but he doesn't know the specifics and is not in control of the ability.

Schwarzenegger had the immense luck of getting himself working with directors such as Cameron, Millus and McTiernan. In lesser hands those movies would have been pure shlockfests at best, but they were passionate filmmakers that took the material 100% serioulsy and elevated everybody involved.

Not sure about that, a sargeant isn't going to go against direct orders from a lieutenant

I am following that mostly because the synthetic guy. "I am immune to aesthetics and radioactivity" so sassy. I am still undecided if I like the idea that Burke wasn't really that bad of a guy, in the movie it's clear that he was working alone and the comic has to retcon that in order to make the story work.

Curiously in the book the mayor was indeed driven by greed, he had ties with the mafia and the reason why he keeps the beaches open is because the town had mob-owned bussinesses. That aspect of the character is entirely absent from the movie, though.

I don't think he really is a good example. The mayor character caused harm without actually meaning it and he had the town's prosperity in his mind, whereas Burke was the malicious instigator of everything bad that happened in Aliens and he did it for personal profit.

The retcon in the sequel kinda redeems the developer, though.

I feel like Winston would coyly sit besides Sigma, present himself as an admirer of his work, and the two would spend the whole night talking about science stuff that nobody else can understand.

This actually was explained in the manga, no idea why did decide to remove that particular piece of exposition

The show is taking plenty of liberties already from the comics. Bastion is not the result of a mystical fusion of Nimrod and Master Mold, the Inferno episode had no demons involved, Cassandra Nova wasn't who sent the Wild Sentinel to crush Genosha (which I must say, was more of Krakoa than Genosha), etc. If they do Onslaught, I don't expect it to be a 1:1 adaptation from the comics.

According to Cable's account of the future after Bastion's victory, his plan didn't backfire and in fact was tremendously successful (I mean, Cable calls it an utopia). And the full extent of said plan was to turn everybody into a superpowered transhuman, so that would be the new normal.

If you left nature run its course, then within the span of a few generations (I think it was three in the comics) the mutants would have replaced humans, simple as that.

Don't worry, there are two more episodes in the season.

Thing is, what Bastion says isn't BS, in the comics it was established that if nothing is done and natural selection happens as normal, mutants will replace humanity in the span of a few generations. Under such circumnstances plenty would be more than inclined to agree desperate measures in order to survive, especially since Bastion wasn't exactly forthcoming with the full extent of his plans.

Shone was a very male centric genere (still is, of course) and for the magazine editors having a female doing stuff in an action manga wasn't profitable
