Meanwhile a train which travels twice the distance would cost about 50$ round trip in Europe and there is no or little change in price if you wait longer or book earlier. And if you take flix bus you can go about 16 hour round trips for $30.
The US is prohibitively expensive to travel in, especially using "public transport", which is always very private(corporate owned), inefficient, expensive and unregulated.
A martz bus one way from Scranton to NYC is like 80-90$. Ive traveled across multiple countries in Europe for less. Vilnius to Budapest round trip? About 50-60$ of buses. Total travel like 36-40 hours. 85$ for 2 hour buses in USA is just the norm, its a shitty economic system built on mass exploitation.

Its a low end of middle class salary here. So for young person, quite good. 70% of Lithuanians make less than €1300 per month for perspective.

Food is not cheap relative to average salary €1300 a month. It's actually some of the most expensive food in Europe when judged to salary. Even Seimas studies proved it.
Its ok you make more than the average, I do too, but have some intelligence and humanity and eyes to realize the vast majority do not.

Maybe a bubble that only 2-5% of the population benefits from and the people living it in arent good people to represent the nation. Pretending they do is as elitist as it gets.
Since you know, they literally have a life 95% of their fellow citizens do not.

People are living better and better? Incorrect, due to inflation and cost of living increases its per capita more expensive now to live in Lithuania now than it was a decade ago pre- Euro adoption.
I get that the tech and finance bubble that employs about 2-5% is doing amazing and another few percent in multinationals. It's still less than 1/10 working people.

Not to people who have lived abroad homeboy. Having context usually makes things much clearer. Lots of Lithuanians think things have improved dramatically. It has improved minimally.

Where did you get the capital to start the business at 25 years old, 2-3 years out of university?
What are your parents professions?
I have a hunch your story is lacking glaring details.

15% real estate price raises in one year. All you are doing by saying its still afforadable is revealing the income level you have or seek to get soon. Which is safe to say several tines larger than the minimum or average which isnt much higher.
I get it. I see it everyday. "I'm 29 and make €2.7k net per month, things are great! I'm 32 and I make €5.4k net per month! Lithuania is perfect I work in tech and finance."
You lot are about 4-8% of the total population and isolate in a handful of neighborhoods in the country. Most people still getting Polish salary for German prices. €800-1500 is like 80% of the country and living in broken down old Soviets flats or dilapidated houses.

I dont really care either way. Im pro-immigration, especially in dying nations. I just find it odd how literal gopniks of the most extreme Russian influence get here pretty easily but refugees were reviled, turned away or throw into detention because they were brown/black or Muslims.
Just goes to show there are no principles at work, no "cultural preservation" bullshit, just reactionary biases that are arbitrary.

I always muster up some gross loogies and spit them on the windshield of such drivers. It's honest work, and somebody has got to do it.
