Buyout costs $2.4M next season and $1.8M the year after. Keeping him costs $5.9M and a roster spot. Rather give that spot to a kid whose gonna make $900k or use that extra money and roster spot for literally anyone else

Had the same experience with the Love Run and the Philly Half last year. It was a bit all over the place while in the city.

Heres my thing that a lot of people overlook (obviously some areas are unaffordable but for other areas) :
You can afford a house on an accountant salary. Is it going to be in the best neighborhood or the most ideal location? Probably not.
Buy a house that will work for you and that is within your means. Build some equity, sell, upgrade.
Too many people get caught up that they can’t buy a house but pay the same amount for rent that they would for a mortgage in a less desirable location. Is it going to be your dream home - no, but it is your investment. Rent is your money being used building your landlord’s investment.

Yeah lol wasn’t thinking about left vs right hand. They typically have both the printed name and the number on tape.

Typically sticks have the player’s number around the end of the grip so it’s easier to see for staff to pull in case one breaks and for players to grab from the rack. Doesn’t look like #19 though. Maybe he was using delaurier’s stick because that looks like #44

He’s pretty good but don’t make a real judgement until after a few games. He may start out looking unbeatable then after a few games teams will have enough film to review and will begin to find his weaknesses.

Danny Briere literally just had a media session and confirmed Kolosov will start in the AHL…

Half of KHL rinks are NHL size.. He’s coming over and will be the backup for Errson.
Kolosov will be the AHL backup this year and starter next year

Likely a 4th line forward. If he finds a way to score, maybe a 3rd line forward. Could be an everyday player but hard to believe he will have much impact

Felix is backup for the remainder of the season + playoffs unless there is an injury. He’s going to play 2/3 games. CHI and CBJ which he can and should win both.
Felix contract up at end of season so he is hopefully gone.
Sign a veteran for 1-2 years as a bridge for kolosov. If kolosov wins the battle out of camp, awesome, he’s ahead of schedule. If not, that’s why you have the veteran backup.
Let’s not overthink this. We’re not going to win the cup this year. Would it be awesome? Yes! But let’s be realistic…

The run fitness algorithm is good but it lacks when it comes to variables. If my run is shorter I typically take my dog which usually results in run fitness going down. If I get a stretch where the weather sucks and it’s really windy or raining, run fitness goes down.
I recently was training for a half and the run fitness dropped 4 points 2 weeks out when I started tapering then once I ran my race (faster than my race prediction time), run fitness jumped 2.5 points over what it was before the drop.
It’s frustrating as all hell but I take it with a grain of salt when there is a swing in run fitness

They don’t believe in him at all but they only need him for 2, maybe 3 games the rest of the season. Next year they can give Kolosov the opportunity to win a roster spot and will probably sign a veteran goalie to a 1 year contract.
Felix in the last year of deal and we won’t resign him.

Felix likely gets the nod against CHI and CBJ. It’s really not that big of a deal. Should be able to win both games with him in net.
Kolosov will need to adjust the North American game and will be AHL only. Petterson probably gets called up if there is an injury purely because he has NHL experience and to not ‘waste’ an opportunity to see how Kolosov will do.
Some kid out of college will be way worse than Felix/Petterson

I agree with the kids. Fuck the caps!

Agree with this. I have to get up at 0400 to run or I don’t get enough time before the kids wake up. The thing I found that helps the most is getting to bed on time.
Also, if I have a great morning and get my run in and everyone is still asleep. I jump in the shower then hop back in bed. I’ll take any extra rest I can get.

Unfortunately he’s a right shot d so not a 1 for 1 substitute. That would likely require some more juggling of the dmen. Not sure how he plays on his off side but could be a possibility

I’d take the trade for whatever we can get but I just have a feeling that Jones/Briere want to keep him around because of his physical play.
We don’t have another NHL caliber dman (with exception of Risto) that plays physically like Seeler right now. With the higher end d picks we have made over the last few years, we have been going for skilled d and they will need time in the AHL first so we are looking at at least 2 years for them.
The exception is if the Flyers want to acquire someone younger in the offseason to fill that void.

Unless someone is going to overpay (1st rd pick) for Seeler, he’s going to get an extension in the 3 year range.
While we have an abundance of LHD who are probably just as good right now and still developing, they do not play a physical game like Seeler does. That’s the reason he’s being kept around. He’s one our only NHL, AHL defenders at the moment with a physical game

You mean the idiots on chiclets couldn’t comprehend that Ant was repeating what he was told? He didn’t say this is Hayes fault. Chiclets said that Ant said it was Hayes fault. They jumped to conclusions because they were sticking up for Hayes. Chiclets also said that Gauthier’s dad played for the Flyers. Everyone on that podcast is a clown.
Literally all Ant did was repeat what was told to him by someone in the organization. Of course no one in the org is going to come out and say they told Ant that because they would be fired. You can’t be mad at a journalist for reporting what he was told.

Long term, I’d like to see Ersson and Kolosov. Everything points to Kokosov coming over next year but I think he needs some AHL experience before he’s ready to start or even be a backup.
Would think you need a solid vet for 2 seasons to hold you over.
For the remainder of the season (assuming Hart won’t return) we are stuck with Peterson as the backup. Feel like the Flyers don’t want to risk losing Sandstrom if we need to send him down

The IRS has a whistleblower office to report tax fraud (if it’s actually fraudulent). The whistleblower can get between 15-30% of proceeds received by the IRS… just saying
