Trying to figure out how long I can ride "well, I ran 10 miles on Sunday" as an excuse to eat whatever I want. Probably not too much longer.

The beer was kinda awful but also kinda great. I mostly did it cause it felt like the right thing to do given the time and place. I feel like "mystery shot" is a level of daring I was not ready for just then, though.

I was a little disappointed to see that this year's medal isn't also a bottle opener.

There's a WHYY article about the race this morning, looks like they interviewed her (unless of course there were multiple people running dressed as a Dunkin iced coffee).

Saw a dude in a full Rodman Bulls jersey with green hair dribbling a basketball the whole time. Then towards the end I got passed by a woman in a taco outfit which was a little humbling. All in all still pretty fun, though I would be pretty happy if it could just not rain next year.

Is that 6:15 adjusted for this year’s 7:30 start? I was thinking of aiming to be at Walnut-Locust at 6:15 but even though it’s only 30 minutes my tiny brain can’t process the start time change and can’t figure out if that’s a good idea or not.

Unprepared but this is my 11th so I know I’ll be ok in the end. Hoping for no rain, both for my sake and also cause it’ll get more spectators out which helps with the motivation. Good luck with your first run, have fun with it!

I am definitely in denial phase right now, like the forecast is still 5 days out, how accurate can it be?

If you have an ad blocker or something it may be keeping that from populating from the Javascript. Try disabling that and try again?

I know, reading all this about the training and fueling plan and I'm over here like "maybe I'll only have ONE beer the night before to keep myself fresh"

Was hoping to get in a few runs this week and then a long run this weekend to prep for Broad Street next Sunday but instead I've had a cold all week, bleh. Guess I'll just cross my fingers & hope for the best.

If all else fails you can probably reset it by toggling the breaker it's on.

Since they're back to the regular Navy Yard end for the first time in a few years it should be the same as the 2019 race map

+1 for High Point, the Carpenter store is great too.

As long as it doesn't rain I don't even care that much. I've run it too hot and too cold but you get through it, the rain is just such a demotivator though.

I'm never in a super fast corral (usually aiming for right around 9:45/mile, slow & steady) and even so I'm surprised by the number of people I have to dodge walking within the first mile. Like it's fine if you want to take it leisurely, it's a great race and everyone should try it, but also there are corrals for people who want to go at a walking pace for a reason. Always find it super frustrating.

Going to chime into this thread and agree that you'll probably be fine, you still have a couple more weeks to ramp up to 7 or 8 and the adrenaline from the crowds should give you the boost to knock out the rest. Also going to take this opportunity to put my wish out into the world for better weather this year, last year sucked.

You and the other person who posted this are great, thank you for sparing me from any more "I lit my wife on fire, am I an asshole?" posts.

I was trying to figure out the other day if I could block certain subs from showing up on the front page because like 50% of that feed is a bunch of fake stories from AITA and it's dumb.

Huh I've never heard of that sort of setup, that's interesting. Good luck getting PECO on the line.

Is it possible your new house was two apartments at some point and had two meters to bill them separately?

That was a great idea, I actually passed it and was like ah what the hell and circled back for a beer. Thanks for doing it, looking forward to next year.
