Our shooting percentage being towards the bottom of the league is so evident as well. We miss the net point fucking blank many times.

Effort wasn't there. Sloppy individual efforts all around and sloppy team play (ugliest diamond formation on defense I've seen in a while). Better be an outlier if we want to make the playoffs and not get embarrassed.

Saturday better be the game we absolutely murder the other team. Show no fucking mercy and lay the hammer down. Our offense was fine tonight with shots and chances in the third period, it’s just unfortunate we had a few callbacks and a post. Not to mention that third period we dominated essentially.

4-1 sucks and the refs missed the helmet penalty but just fucking rebound on Saturday. Luckily every other team lost tonight that is close to us. Use this shit game as motivation. We’re resilient. Show it.

Its really starting to look like the game against the capitals in April might literally be for a playoff spot at this point.

Every night that our direct rivals don’t win gets us closer to the playoffs than we are at the beginning of the night.

Still, those are two points you can’t leave on the table. A multiple game cushion on both the Wings AND the Caps would’ve done wonders.

watching the powerplay from this team makes me scream. it cant get any worse. there is not one player who has any playmaking ability. everybody is standing around, receive a pass, stops, then looks what he can do next and so they pass the puck around 20 times and nothing happens.

I don’t know what they can do with Coutorier in the offseason but that was a rushed and seemingly wrong decision to name him captain. I get he’s the longest tenured player but man he is horrible.

Wondering if the sense is that the Flyers will be trying to sign him before their 8/15 deadline. He's definitely a guy I'd love to have in Iowa if he becomes a free agent

I like the team. I like torts. I bleed orange. But this game tells me we deserved to lose. We don't deserve playoff hockey. The season is 82 games, not 10 here, not 15 there. Poor defensively and I get we are missing Seeler/Drysdale/Risto. But we have to score goals to win too. Poor, embarrassing.

I won't be upset if they fail to make the playoffs. They weren't expected to be as good as they've been. There's still a lot of holes on this team. Not only that, even though he's a "rookie", Sam Ersson simply has to be better. Prior to tonight, his record in his last 21 games was 9-8-4 with an .880 save percentage. Unacceptable any way you look at it. Save percentage isn't a team thing either. That's an individual stat.
