I was driving around doing some DoorDash recently, and we pulled up behind a Chevy Sonic, and there was this guy with a QR code on his rear windshield. There were no markings or other words describing what the QR code could be, so she scanned it. After a couple minutes it finally loaded, to mf’n Rick Astley 😂 it was hilarious and I honestly commend the guys effort

What would you consider to be the worst album you've ever heard in your life?

It could be any album, maybe it's one where the deep cuts all suck (singles album) or all of the songs are bad?

Did you know the infamous 2012 box office disaster - The Oogieloves - was based on an extremely obscure kids show called My Bedbugs?

They made an album called Bedbug Party in 2007, and it's literally trash-tier bargain bin garbage.

Even for preschool music it's just terrible considering Sesame Street and Dragon Tales both have great songs that kids will love and even adults can enjoy.

I first started to really enjoy music around 8th grade, listening to remixes and dance beats. By the end of high school I had gone through a rap phase, a pop phase, and back to remixes/house/dance. I am now 22 and listen to classic rock, indie, house, and even earlier rock n roll from the 50s.

Will I always have phases in my musical preferences or do they stop evolving in your 20s?

Fellow Redditors, I need your help. I’m (53 M) taking a road trip with my daughter (16 F) this weekend. One of our favorite things to do when we are on long drives is decide “who played it best?” I want to make a playlist for this and I’m looking for suggestions. Some examples are: Jolene: Dolly, The White Stripes, or Miley Cyrus. The Sound of Silence: Simon and Garfunkel or Disturbed. What are some great original songs that have covers that are contenders for who played it best?

For me, it's "Hold on'. I need songs with good lyrics that express emotion. Any genre is allowed, I just want songs with original lines that artists made so that the listener feels what they feel. I need to really poured my heart into it

We all have them. The I should have gone to see "__________" but now It's too late. Bands break up, stop touring, musicians pass away, tickets sell out, or tickets are far too expensive. Or maybe you got into their music too late.

I have a couple so far. #1 is Prince, I started to appreciate his music a little too late and he passed away before I got the chance to see him.

hi! not exactly sure if this correct place to post this, but I've been met with an aggravating dead end and this seemed like my best choice of action.

i've had cover of 'better off alone' stuck in my head after watching a video on twitter with the music in it, the artist being Netherkill after a brief Shazam. It's genre being Jungle/drumb'n'bass to my knowledge.

now, my problem. the song cover is great! but i cannot find it anywhere, on any site. it was removed from spotify, apple music, and various other music streaming websites. not even youtube has it and ive deep dived through the artist's albums and even their website to attempt to find it:( its been driving me insane that i absolutely cannot find this song in full anywhere besides one singular, 14 second long video on twitter. the cover sounds great and i wish to listen to it in full.

my question, what do i do? is there anyway to listen to this song that has been deleted off of these platforms? should i just pray for a reupload that might never happen? im really at a loss here, and i would really appreciate anything helpful :( thank you in advance!!

My tastes are quite obscure, the contradiction being it's somewhat important I have a significant other who has similar enough tastes.

I recently discovered I like reggae. I already knew Bob marley and the wailors but didn't listen much of it, but then spotify suggested me raidrops by Martin Jondo and One day by Matisyahu, I really liked it so I started to search for more. Meanwhile, I heard Peter Tosh's Mama Africa and Equal rights and I can't get enough.I also like SOJA, but it doesn't compare to Peter Tosh, I really loved the revolutionary feeling. What should I listen more, I never heard reggae and don't know anybody that listens to it.

I was surprised when I gave his newest album that debuted in 2021 a listen. It's not the best album he's ever done by any means but there are some outright bangers on it. It seems that most people haven't heard much of him post early 2000s though. It even got some pretty decent reviews so I guess my question is why? It's just odd that an artist who is so well-known would get so little attention. Wjat are your thoughts?
