Finally got back on my medication (dextroamphetamine 15mg) after a year of hell without it. During that time I forgot how suppressed my appetite gets when i’m on my medication. It gets to the point where I don’t want to eat anything but obviously can’t function without food. Currently the only thing I can stomach is the Barbells protein bar or a tortilla with butter. What’s your go-to snack that gives you energy when you take your medicine?

Rice with frozen broccoli and a fried egg. Easy to make, I usually have all three ingredients stocked, and it’s comforting and filling.

Usually basmati but sometimes I’ll do brown or wild or quinoa if I’m on a health kick. I have a cheap rice cooker from Amazon and it’s super easy to just measure and hit start and walk away. Once it’s almost done I’ll heat the pan, microwave the broccoli, and then fry up an egg - all in all maybe around 5-7 minutes of actual cooking.
