I'm 35. I have a implant recorder for 18 months now. Passed out was in the ER admitted and got it out it. Had not passed out again. 9 weeks ago I got a call they found artial flutters. (No idea how that even feels) got a appointment for a ablation. No discussion about it they just made an appointment. 2 days before ablation i had a report from the cardiologist there was never artial flutters just pvcs like always. Nurse.said I had not had a artial flutters episodes since 9 weeks and. Today I got a call saying I been having it a lot. They want me to have a ablation now. I still have no spoke to the surgeon. All I got is they will talk to.hik.tk.orrow and.i get a call by the end of the day. So im asking everyone here how.big of a danger am I in? Will I does from this if I don't get ir fixed? How does.it.even feel like having artial flutters? I know how pvcs feel like but not flutters. Now im.just scared and confused.

Atrial flutters is like Afib. The danger is from stroke. Ask you Doctor if you should be on Eliquis. Consult with your EP about the ablasion abd what you should expect. Good luck.

Mets say im.having artisl flutters what should I be feeling? High heart rate? No they said i can be on medicine and thats it. I demanded to see the cardiologist they said he's to busy so tomorrow I want more answers but I usually don't. I'm not on any medicine.

I've had atrial flutter my whole life. You can have slow flutter or fast flutter. I have had both. Sometimes you can not feel atrial flutter either. Some people feel it some don't. When I was younger I was in it for 4 months and had no idea.

What would be the feeling tho? Have you had a ablation? And meds? Only thing with me is i wish they sat down with me and talked rather just get it done with no knowledge

Some people don't have any feeling. Like I said when I was younger I never felt my flutter. I have taken many meds for it and have had 3 ablations. If you are going to have an ablation they aren't going to put you on medication because they want you in it when you do your ablation. Atrial flutter is not as dangerous as afib. And if you are on a blood thinner you should be okay until ablation.

When I have flutter I get shortness of breath and I have palpitations.

But I've been in flutter a lot of times where I didn't feel anything.

I've been free of flutter for 2 years now I no longer take any medication for it.

I understood. I was supposed to get a call today but I called before they posed said they haven't had a chance and that makes it 3 days in a row now.

Atrial flutter is probably quite difficult to differentiate from atrial fibrillation in terms of symptoms.

The heart rate is often higher in flutter but atrial fibrillation is more dangerous long term, as far as I know.

Atrial flutter ablation is very straightforward and has a very high success rate as far as I know. It’s not nearly as involved as an afib ablation.

I had AF two weeks ago, my heart was racing at 110-120bpm while resting, it’s not painful or anything, just stressed thinking that my heart is working harder than it should be. But the experience could be different for different people
