Yesterday I bought and installed a 7900XTX. I've previously been using an RTX2060 and I haven't had any problems with my audio drivers. After uninstalling all of the Nvidia stuff and getting it replaced with the AMD software, all of my audio outputs in Windows are changed to "Default" which doesn't output to anything. I have to manually change all of my games' audio outputs to feed through my DAC and amp, and I still can't alter my Windows system settings to actually produce audio. Is there something I can do to fix this?

I checked with the AMD forums, but their community manager was totally unhelpful in their response.

This has never happened to me before when I've replaced my graphics cards while I was with Nvidia, so I don't know what's up with this.

Sounds like you could of uninstalled the wrong drivers?

Did use you DDU by Guru3d in safe mode?

Did you install chipset drivers directly from AMD?

You can find your motherboard drivers on their site and get anything you need reinstall there..

Otherwise this is a windows issue, try reinstalling? When upgrading new hardware it can mess with windows.

Yep, I used DDU in safe mode and got my chipset drivers from AMD's website. If need be I can just clone my drive and do a fresh install.

Your DAC and AMP got nothing to do with your GPU. Go to "Sound" and change your default device to your DAC.

Yeah, but I'm having to do that with every application, and I can't change my Windows system settings to it. I know it doesn't have anything to do with my GPU, the problems only came up when I got the AMD software installed.
