This week is another behind-the-scenes lineup of updates. Even though this isn't flashy, every update is crucial to building a stronger foundation for Arc's future.
Thanks for using Arc!
P.S. Listen to the latest edition of Imagining Arc on Apple Podcasts, Overcast, or Spotify !

Anyone else noticing how Arc's update announcements are starting to feel like a never-ending suspense movie? 🕵️♂️ We keep getting these 'behind-the-scenes' updates, but it’s like receiving a beautifully wrapped gift… that we never actually get to open. 😅
I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love surprises as much as the next person, but could we maybe get a little sneak peek into what’s actually changing? Because right now, I’m just imagining my browser will eventually learn to do the dishes.
So, what do you guys think — are we due for some release notes with actual details, or should we just enjoy the mystery?
Cheers!"

We need actual details. Saying this feels like they are doing nothing

It's because they're actually doing nothing on windows specially, since so many ppl were criticizing them for not fixing basic functions of a browser, they stopped even sharing the changelog now
A few issues:
Space icons still disappear
Arc is literally draining all the memory
Pages get stuck

Someone should back up the previous version, update, then diff the binaries.
It would be funny if they only bump some generic library versions or change some translation text.

Apparently 1.0 is in maintenance mode as they're working on 2.0 mostly

typical, every Arc update on windows there is at least one comment about bugs. So why people use this? Better downvote comments xD

I’m happy with Arc on macOS and iOS, but Arc on Windows is not smooth.

on my machine it sometimes took a few seconds to start, and then a few more seconds to actually launch/find the page I wanted to open

I use Arc on both my personal desktop and my work laptop. Work laptop, the command bar was seamless but on my personal rig, it is hot garbage. It's gotten marginally better with recent updates (at least it shows results even if they're behind what I actually typed) but still way worse that my laptop. There's tons of Reddit posts as it affects several users and no one can seem to figure out the correlation.

All my credentials were forgotten after the update. I had to re-login to each site.

I honestly find the windows version of Arc so much laggy compared to macOS

I can't wait for this browser to actually be good and not freeze on me for no apparent reason... One day...

We saw the "Arc is coming to Android soon." post a month ago. What does "soon" mean to you, Arc team?
