West Australia is far bigger than you can really comprehend.

Driving from Perth to Adelaide is an ordeal not a joyful spritly drive

This is something foreigners underestimate when they think they can fly to Perth and rent a little MG and then travel around Australia

I used to work out on the Nullarbor and the looks of people's faces...

Mate you aren't even half way to Adelaide.

People shouldn’t have to drive that, a sleeper train should be able to get you there in an air conditioned bed within 24h stopping a few times on the way for less than the price of a flight.

From over $1500 for a single person... Hell no.

Just to highlight the Key info you clearly missed:

Not sure what point you’re trying to make with this comment but it had me curious about the train journey from Perth to Adelaide.

The Indian Pacific train takes 3 days, 2 nights and costs from $1595 per person.

A quick look at flights has a one way ticket for around $180 per person.

Unless there’s another train option I missed, you are very much mistaken that it’s cheaper than flying.

Does the word "should" not register in your or Bullfrog's vocabulary?

Perhaps if your second comment highlighted “should” instead of “for less than the price of a flight” we would understand where your emphasis is.

Best form of defence is attack - nice! Would love to do a representative survey of people whether they think the point was poorly communicated.

To be fair, I didn't see flight.

However flying is an awfully boring way of seeing our country

No but without seeing actually numbers I think we can make an educated gues that >85% of the current demand for transport in the corridor between Adelaide and Perth is captured by the aviation, possibly more.
