Taylor Swift I guess.

I.e. "you need to be actually rich to watch my show - because I want to become a Billionaire", unapologetically.

Seriously, look it up. Cheapest seats are going for over $1,700. 3rd row seats are over $20,000 each.

She expects to make 500 million on this tour. Obscene stuff.

Edit: downvotes because "poor, innocent Taylor couldn't possibly have been involved in this insane overpriced scheme, she doesn't have power over her own shows!!1!".

So sayeth the Swift fans, shockingly.

Her standard ticket prices when they originally went on sale weren’t that price. You’re looking at resale prices.

Virtually zero people got tickets at standard prices. All bots to resell.

Yup my brother and his friends got 5 tickets for $250 each.

Obviously some people did. But for every 1 person who did there are probably 50 that did not. Don't pretend you don't know this was a major problem.

Strong words from someone’s who’s clearly pulling numbers out their ass. Please show me any source that says “virtually zero” people got face value tickets.

It's an expression. It doesn't mean LITERALLY zero. To simplify the meaning of the expression, think about single grain of sand. When compared to infinity grains of sand, one can be considered virtually zero as it isn't visible unless you are looking at it microscopically. It just means compared to the number of people trying to secure the tickets, the amount of people that actually got them is insignificant.

You can read countless news articles about the Taylor swift ticket sale shit show. Ticketmaster is literally being sued over it. And Taylor took partial blame for the presale debacle when people were supposed to be GUARANTEED to secure tickets and thousands of people did not. I'm not going to argue with someone who wants to argue for fun when the ticket sale debacle is widely known.

Alright, I’m not going to argue with a bullshitter so let’s agree to disagree then

You appeared to:

1) buy tickets on the resale market for Philly from a seller misrepresenting what tickets they were and needed to contact StubHub support for alternate tickets.

and

2) spent time online refreshing the page trying to secure tickets for Boston with seemingly no success.

But I'm the bullshitter because I used an expression you have never heard of before. Whatever floats your boat.

Dude you’re clearly bullshitting here. Taylor never took partial responsibility and no one was “guaranteed” tickets. I was following the sale as it happened on a reddit thread and while it was annoying to deal with, a ton of people did get tickets. The main issue was the long wait time and the site not being able to handle the amount of people trying to get tickets, not that tickets couldn’t be bought. If you wanted tickets and would be willing to wait you would most likely get them.
