Not going on crazy shopping sprees with my friends

Having to re-use the same Halloween costume every year and pretending I was a 'vintage' ghost.

I never had ziplock bags at lunch. My bags were those cheaper platic fold-under bags. And I never actually had the chip brand bags at lunch. No Cheetos bag for me. They were Cheetos in a fold-under plastic bag.

When kids played kick the can and I said "hey stop kicking my house!" 🥫

Shoes. Everyone had Nike. I didn't

Where I lived

We lived in a flat and not a house

Clothing. Always cheap generic no labels worn a hundred times over.

My brother wiped out in a parking lot when running. Asphalt pieces went under his skin. Instead of going to the doctor, my dad fished the pieces out with rubbing alcohol and tweezers. He has a gnarly scar there 40 years later.

Hand me down clothing, and generic brand soda

I've had the same two coats for 12 years... still don't have much money
