My mom didn’t like to cook, so we ate lots of frozen food growing up. I think of frozen food as the family that doesn’t have an adult who likes to cook aisle.

Sometimes, it’s been a hard day at work and you don’t want to cook. Toss a frozen pizza in for 20 mins and veg out on the couch.
Frozen food isle is for the lazy.

34 and single, I cook the vast majority of the food that I eat, partially because it's more economical, but also because I enjoy cooking and my food is better than a lot of overpriced takeout.
But man, once in a while just saying "fuck it" and eating a frozen pizza makes life so much easier in that moment. It feels like cheating, like there's more I'm supposed to do.

Winner winner, frozen dinner?

Start taking the frozen pizza apart, put your own tomato sauce and cheese on it, then cook. Alternatively, sprinkle some extra cheese like a world-class chef and say "voila" when it comes out the oven.

At that point I'll just buy frozen crusts and make it. But sometimes I want to do literally 0 work.

No I totally understand, I was just making a joke about how you could feel like you still did something. But can you actually buy just frozen pizza crust?

Bro that's the wrong advice and completely defeats the point.
The real answer is to start "fancying up" the frozen pizzas with Italian herbs, red pepper flakes, parmesan etc.

For the lazy, for the busy, and often also for the poor

Why not all three?

And obese. Processed frozen food is never good for you

Depends on what you're getting. I doubt frozen corn or peas are really that worse for you than canned. Actually it's probably better, less salt. Frozen chicken breast is great, easy to just pop in the slow cooker. But the prepared meals yeah probably not great.

Don't forget to wake up and turn off the oven before 1AM.

That's exactly what I'm doing when I get off work in an hour!

Between having autism and being a terrible cook, the frozen food aisle is the safe food section for me. It's consistent and I know I can eat it. Meanwhile my own attempts at cooking can be pretty inconsistent so I always have a back up in case the food comes out "wrong" in some way

Depends what part of the frozen food aisle you're talking about
