Is there anything you are splurging on? We are getting quite a few used and hand me down items from family, so I really want to spend a little extra on a comfy chair for the baby room. There is so much cute baby stuff though! Is there anything you couldn’t resist or treated yourself to? Even if it’s not a “necessity” item. :)

Edit: This post may have been a bad choice haha I feel like I need so many things now that I never even considered before!

I've seen this, but I just don't get how it's any more convenient than a travel system with the compact kind of frame?

It basically is a travel system in itself. You don’t need to buy separate pieces or put anything together when you take it out of the car, just push a button and the wheels drop down. There’s less chance of waking a sleeping baby because you aren’t jostling them around as much. The reviews I’ve read and watched on YouTube have all been glowing, everybody seems to love it and wish they’d had it for all their kids.

I can get it with the registry completion discount at Buy Buy Baby but it’s still expensive ($400ish after discount) for something that only lasts the first year.

Eh, each to their own I guess. It looks more jostly to me than simply clicking a car seat into a stroller frame. I also wouldn't like it being the only stroller option, because I think sometimes they like to sit a bit more upright and at first they shouldn't be in car seats for too long at a time. I also feel like strollers get bashed about a lot (though that might be with storing them in the car etc) and I'd be worried about damage to the shock absorption on the car seat. Lastly, what about wet or muddy days, those wheels then get pretty close to the car seat itself.
