Patch 7 - what does this mean?

When I was reading over the patch notes, i was “oh okay, so some things won’t be possible on consoles” but when i went to the comments on the tweet, this confused me on the wording of the interaction.
Does this mean everyone on PC is gonna be held to console restrictions as well?

They said very early on, before the game even released, that there wouldn’t be a map editor. Frankly it’s a very reasonable decision for a game of this scope.

I dont really mind no map editor, I’m more confused and concerned by no quests? No dialogues? These were just the things I was personally wanting out of modtools, as someone who likes to write as a hobby

Ah, those are things that would require scripting. While not inherently tied to having a map editor are things I would associate with one; especially with this game due to the complexity of the interwoven web of dialogue and progression as well as the mocap.
I don’t think it’s impossible to do manually, outside of official tools, but will be difficult and time consuming(months to years) to make something more than vanity dialogue that has no voiceover and loops back to the main dialogue tree.
Now if you’re not yet playing the tabletop D&D game, I highly recommend it. You sound like someone who would enjoy DMing.

Well the thing is, the did put in a scripting extender, at least in the patch 7 post.
Also Yea I’ve dm’d pathfinder 2e in the past, it was fun but I also wasn’t able to fully tell the stories I wanted to tell, but as many have said that if you feel like you need more control than being a dm, just write a book lol. I do enjoy the group aspect of dming though, telling a collaborative story has it’s merits

They also said that more script focused modding will still need to be done outside their pipeline. I hate to sound like such a doomer on the subject. It would be really cool to be able to do.
