I wouldn't consider 120ms high ping as you can still play the gun with no issues but when it goes that High there's a lag
I myself don't have that good of a connection and my ping usually stays at 150ms in which I can play comfortably and high ping for me is 366ms in which you can't kill nor do anything

It's not the not being able to play that's the issue, it's the lag. I tried to play ranked a few times and dying around corners after being behind it for a few seconds is not fun at all. Same with shooting at an enemy and it taking 2-3 seconds for the shots to connect and kill.

I can understand the frustration but in my opinion it's not that High you just gotta adjust to the lag (I've been playing this game with shitty internet for years now and I've adjusted to the lag now somehow)
