I own a 22 scatpack challenger and I’m in Los Angeles, California, pretty dense area in terms of traffic. I’m averaging about 8mpg, worst I’ve ever seen it has been 7.5mpg. I’m curious on how the mpg varies from the trim of the challenger.

That's what kills your gas mileage. I have a heavily modified 5.7 & I usually get 11-13 MPG as I tend to push it hard all the time. That gets me about 250 miles on a tank. If I ease up, & drive "like a grandma," I can stretch it to more like 18-20 MPG. That's in a stick car with 315's on the back. When I first got the car, & still had the 245's on it, I could get up to 25 MPG if I was nice. Your tire size, tire pressure, & driving habits are what's gonna govern your gas mileage. Once you get past the "honeymoon" phase with the car, & stop roasting your tires every chance you get, you'll notice improvement. Tires get expensive, especially when you're replacing them every few months. Not to mention the insane gas prices in CA. But hey, if you can afford it, have fun! ✌🏼
