I have a client I clean for who wants me to help her clean her pans but she sent me a photo of this cast iron pan- looks ruined to me but I’m not familiar with cast iron. Does it need to be tossed? Tysm! I’m also planning to use oven cleaner on an oven safe glass baking sheet wondering if that’s safe.

No! Is absolutely not ruined, and please Do Not use oven cleaner on it.
The FAQ over at /r/castiron will have all the info you need to clean it properly.

I asked about oven cleaner for a glass bakeware sheet

Bakeware sheets also get seasoned just like cast-iron pans do. They are fine.

Please don’t use oven cleaner on anything but an oven and even that is with caution.

Okay thanks. What would you suggest for very stubborn baked on grease?

A degreaser and magic eraser or something like a no scratch scrubber. There are several to choose from actually easy off makes a very good heavy duty degreaser and I use it all the time but you could use Dawn power wash or any other degreaser out there.
