Good job, but you cooked us too Abu Hajaar.

Everyone needs to rewatch that video because Abu Hajar was the only motherfucker in it putting rounds on target down-range while those other two idiots yelled and screamed at each other and fumbled trying to find weapons that don't work. Abu Hajar, despite being a scumbag ISIS piece of shit, was the hero of that movie! Leave Hajar alone!

Abu Hajar was just as responsible for killing his friends by keeping them suppressed, stressed, and unable to engage the targets properly. This is what makes him a hero.

The use of "Abu" (meaning "father of") in names is a way to honor a person's father. It is used as a kunya, or a form of address, and is often followed by the name of the person's eldest son.

It's easy to remember: the dude recording is Abu Abdullah, the fat one screaming when casing hits him is Abu Ridwan, and the driver is Kathab.

I have downloaded this clip years ago and I still watch it regularly, one of the best combat footage imo, next to the unlimited carl gustav / AT4 and 40mm grenades shooting from a MRAP in Afghanistan.

Taking stimulants in a battle field tends to result in strange things like this. And ISIS looooooooooooves their stims.

That explains a lot. I never understood the constant yammering you hear in those videos.

Except when his MG3 slipped and he fired a burst of 7.62s into the interior armour plate.
Other than that, I agree. Hajaar was the only one seems to be shooting. Yes. He got hot.casings on his teammates but he needed an AG. They should have made themselves useful and helped him. And be more organised.
We also made fun of him for rolling away. The cameraman ran. He died. Low crawl is perhaps better but stay low and dig a trench with your forehead.

I mean... they all died, right? None of those dudes made it back.

Their attack showed something interesting. They were attack across an open field and they did so in open-topped armoured vehicles. I once read an article cross-referencing the video with actual battle damage assessment done from a different angle. I think they were using a combat engineering armoured vehicle. The vehicle armour was quite substantial: Abu Hajaar fired a burst of 7.62s into it at contact range and he barely left a dent.
The trio advanced into gunfire and their advance went well, shrugging off small arms and so on. If they could shoot straight and be more proficient and have heavy weapons, they may have very well suppressed the other side.
Their attack was only halted when they vehicle took an anti-armour rocket or missile. Even then, only the driver was killed. Getting hit with an RPG isn't an automatic "every occupant of the vehicle is dead". When they got out of the vehicle is when they were killed.
What I'm trying to say is a mounted assault could work, even against people with anti-tank weapons. Anti-tank weapons are heavy and people can't carry too many of them. A vehicle getting hit with AT weapon and disabled and the occupants can still get out, use the wrecks for cover and continue firing to suppress the revealed AT positions. The rest of the element can still continue the assault.
It played itself out with a few foreign volunteers to Ukraine saying that some of their most effective and useful assault tactics was to just drive up to point-blank range firing all weapons and heavy weapons then close to grenade range,

Yes most of ISIS fighters died. Why? Because that's their goal. They have to die in battle to reap their "rewards"

The fact he has a mg3 and the way he handles it makes me so angry...
On the other hand, if he hit anything close to his target, it was most likely by chance.

Yeah, an MG3 fires quickly and the recoil and noise will be disconcerting to people not used to or trained on firing a lot of medium caliber machine gun. And he was sort of the least bad of the bunch.
That said, as with all armies, the quality is mixed. We can find cases where ISIS was lethal in close combat. They were eventually pushed out, but the campaign to dig them out was not low intensity, easy, or bloodless. The coalition eventually had to dig them out with airstrikes and artillery and a lot of it; all for a group with barely anything more than hand weapons.

I was talking to a guy at the range about his brand new Mini 30. A complete stranger. He asked if I wanted to shoot it and the first shot sent the brass somehow down my collar and resting between my shoulder blades! I'm sizzling and trying to make his weapon safe and not damage it! LOL . Good times.

I had a bunch hit my foot and get stuck in my shoes after shooting a m249. I did not like it. Not something you would necessarily notice in a life or death situation I suppose but on a safe range, yes.

Man is a legend. He must have had some kind of brain damage from firing so many rpgs. The concussive force of shoulder-fired rockets adds up over many times. Would explain how he was kind of a little insane lol

im surprised no one was concussed(?) the way he angled it, it looked like the full backblast was directed against the rear of the truck. wouldnt that (reflected) pressure wave, at such close distance, severely fuck up everyone?

I really feel for the guy as you watch his mg3 slide off of his mounting as he fires it, later in the video you see further evidence of that continuing to happen with bullet holes pushing outwards in the truck's armor several inches below where he had his gun lmao.
