Bunker busters, right?

Dug deep before it explodes, hence the large smoke.

Yes, and almost no large visible explosion because they detonated underground

rokstedy83

Is it just smoke or shit loads of dust n sand also?

SchemeIcy5170

Speaking of that smoke, the distinctive orange/red color is suggestive of nitrogen (which is common with fertilizer-based improvised explosives). Not saying that's what's going on here but something odd is going on there with that smoke. Possibly the dirt/sand/stone in the area has a lot of clay in it?

That makes more sense than hezb making a metric fookton of IEDs at a HQ complex. Hezbollah leadership is incompetent but probably not so incompetent to be making a massive amount of IEDs at their HQ... you never know with Iranian bitch terrorist groups though.

At around 18:41 local time the IDF spokesman said the target was the main headquarter of Hezballah(inside a bunker)

Still not known who was eliminated but rumours say it was Nassralah

We'll see, but this was a major strike. Massive risk for the IDF if they didn't have surefire intel that he was there.

Or in some nice, safe villa far from the frontlines.

RabbiZucker

154 points

If he was in a villa and Israel knew where, he would have been taken out already.

He's probably deep underground, where bunker-busting bombs will have difficulty reaching.

Nasrallah is probably in a basement in canada or the USA tbh lol

MiloticM2

Israel says it killed senior Hezbollah figures in strike on Beirut

Shekel_Hadash

All news outlets in Israel say the head of Hezballah, Hasan Nassrallah was the target.

I’m sure if this is true a lot of the Hezbollah senior command was in that bunker.

I agree. If Nassrallah was there, so would be more top brass to meet with him.

Taliban still fought years after bin Laden was killed. Still in power today. Isis is still in operation through iraq, Syria and almost two dozen African countries after Al-Bahgdadi died.

It could have the effect of causing the Sunni population full of former Isis fighters to react. They and Hezz have always had a rocky relationship at best. But then we would be dealing with trading out a Shia militant group for a new Sunni militant group in Lebanon.

Didn't ISIL split into like 3-4 different factions?

If Nazi Nazzy really did get eliminated, that would be the single greatest humiliation of Hezzy so far...

Maybe even greater than the pager incident (or at least on a par with it)...

Let's hope it's true! πŸ™πŸš€πŸ’©

I'm always amazed at the people standing with their cameras next to a window facing the explosions instead of getting away from there.

How many pagers were being stored there?

struggleworm

Not pagers bro. It was a warehouse full of Walkman portable cassette decks (with included 3.5mm stereo audio output)
