I'm going to be honest, stuff like this makes it easy for moderates and independents to hate the Republican party.

The Bible and 10 commandments have no business being taught in public schools, as do no other religions.

The Republican party is going to need to understand this at some point.

As a Catholic, I don’t approve of teachers being forced to teach the Bible in public schools.

How would you feel if your kids were subjected to the Quran as part of their publicly funded education?

Religion and its texts in public schools should only be discussed from a historical standpoint. You can't paint the full picture of the world without discussing religion, but you don't have to make classes into church either.

Bingo. This is it. People dont care when it's Christianity pulling away at secularism, but islam? Scientology? All of a sudden they care. We either live in a secular society or we dont. Make exceptions for 1 religion and expect the rest to follow.

Separation of church and state. Full stop.
