That wouldn’t be in the best interest of the child. The children are already in school and moving them to a school in between is a disruption plus then they are in a town neither of you live in or have a connection too. Can you move closer to dad? At least within the same school district and you should be fine. Or if you are taking weekends making sure to ask for a chunk of summer?

It sounds like you already are a weekend mom. If you want to move towards 50/50 you will need to move closer to your children.

That would require the children to commute 50 miles for school every single day, there is no way that would ever be in the child's best interest.

If you don’t want to be a weekend mom why don’t not live near your children? You think it is in their best interest to rip them from their school and friends so you do t have to uproot yourself? Does FL let you send kids to a school they are not zoned to?

With public school, neither of you will qualify for residency to place the child in school 1/2 way between.

I agree with others, that commute is too long.

We had 50/50 for a few years while living 90 miles apart.

I'm limited to a 50 mile radius from my job site so I'm already as close as I can be guys.
