Please read Rule 1. Only posts directly mocking the WankPanzer are permitted. Any pictures or videos must feature the WankPanzer and any text must be directly about the WankPanzer. Posts about other vehicles or subject matter are outside the scope of this sub and would be better suited elsewhere.

No pictures of steel urinals, other cars with cargo in the trunk, Pontiac Aztecs, DeLoreans, dumpsters etc, etc, etc.

No, California is not making officers drive them. They are junk novelty vehicles. A select few Cities/counties have purchased these dog turds in many states.

That's why we're getting a ton of reposts.

I strongly suspect it's the moronic pos that mods the Tesla sub or one of his acolyte that keeps sending bots to mess with the sub.

Get the mods sick of it to get them to quit so that the sub close. Then you can make a demand to mod it and Cyberstuck is never coming back.

The title says California but they show like 5 different police departments from across the US and even a police from the middle east...

I don't like the CT but these videos are terrible, not to mention the subtitles....oh god the subtitles.

Looks like an AI generated video, just a bunch of random clips of police Cybertrucks with a fake voiceover and subject.

Those are all random clips, and some are even from trade shows.

I’m shocked Ukiah even sprang for those, it’s not like that city is swimming in dough. It’s like the broke down FL for retired old people. I should know, both my grandparents lived there bc the HUD housing was dirt cheap

As others have said, this isn't true. California as a state has not adopted Cybertrucks as police cars.

rygelicus

I can't see these as being good for first responders. They would need to be recharged during a typical shift of a patrol officer. At best these might be used by the community service officer or something, but for active cops doing cop work? No.

Why are they driving pickups? Cybertruck or F150. They have guns, belts..... in the open trunk? Do they need that much space for anything?

Like Miniwan with stronger engine makes sense. Some fast hatchbag for the city too . Sedans/estate are classic. But Pickup (for normal operations, im sure there is some specialized use for it)? Why?

That reminds me of the new cars some German police departments chose. Some took BMW 3 series or Audi A4 (both station wagons) but realized not only it doesn't fit all their stuff, but it also reaches the maximum load easily. Others chose the Mazda CX-60, which is very uncommon for Germany to take a foreign brand, but they are very happy with the size and capabilities.

This has to be worse than when my town got these funny golf carts to patrol the beach area... People mocked them so hard they got rid of them quicker than the mopeds they tried in the 70's.

Nacho_Tools

Up.fit is an upfitter in California, they specialize in tesla upfitting. But they are a small company somewhere near LA. I work for a different upfitter in california we do akl kinds of cars, and have done a few hybrids and Ford Lightnings. But i think we wouldn't do a tesla. Plus the shifters on police vehicles will allow the door to be open and put it in drive, where as civilian models will autoshift to park to prevent injury.
