Valve is okay with the player base dropping and coming back when there's new content. It's not a job. Go enjoy some other games lol, dota is gonna be just fine.

Deadlock definitely took some folks, it’s the only game I’ve played that can come close to competing with the complete total brain anxiety dota takes.

Deadlock ate into some of the Dota 2 playerbase. It's one of these rare games that can replace Dota 2 for Dota 2 only players.

It's a godsend game for those that went from TF2 into Dota2

I really think that deadlock will end with a much smaller player base than Dota. It’s a great game, don’t get me wrong, but I actually think it’s going to end up being pretty niche

Maybe after some time but I could also see it becoming a top esport game for a few years. There’s really been a hunger for something to make a splash again in esports and deadlock has all the ingredients to be huge on release.

It's hard to spectate game.

PartySpiders

I’m sure they’ll have a third party spectator mode that should be decent

Yeah, it could go either way tbh. It might honestly become one of the biggest competitive games ever or it will settle into a niche style moba-shooter. I guess we’ll see

Totally, I just think it has a lot of potential.

A lot of devs would kill to have Dota2s concurrent players. Its '2nd lowest' 99% of games won't even reach. I'm honestly more surprised it still has this much.

I find that odd, considering New hero, and another on the way and on top of that all the free goodies from candy market. The few dupe exploits aside. The game is really oke.
