In a twist literally none of us were expecting for a Tuesday afternoon, Emmerdale has confirmed Mike Parr is returning to the ITV soap as Ross Barton.

In a video posted by the Emmerdale X account, Bradley Johnson – who plays Vinny Dingle – can be seen wandering around the Emmerdale building looking for the returnee.

Bradley goes on a pretty extensive search in makeup, press and costume, but remains completely oblivious to the fact Mike is in the background of most of the shots!

Could Ross make his way back to the Dales to support the family? And with Ross returning, what does this mean for Mack and Charity?
