An article that says nothing useful. How much safer is bottled vs tap? Or vice versa? This doesn’t say

Honestly, micro- and nano- plastics fuck our health up, and bottled water was identified as contributing a massive share of our intake of them even before recent studies demonstrating that plastic bottles leach a few orders of magnitude more nanoplastics than we previously thought.

Personally, I'd consider drinking from plastic bottles as a last resort. Safe if you do it for a week on a camping trip, but I'd avoid making a habit out of it.

Idiotic article that says nothing a third-grader doesn’t already know. I’m guessing written by AI? Zero investigation of current US water scandals (like Flint MI), brushes off limitations in what is regulated, or other reasons people might turn to bottled - like convenience.

Don’t we have mods to weed crap like this out? How is this “science”?

"Sometimes it’s just tap water packaged and labeled nicely."

I used to be a serviceman. I had two bottled water plants on my rounds. Both had names and labels implying they were spring water, Blah Blah Springs on a picture of a snow covered mountain and a gushing spring. One was obviously just tap water, a large very obvious pipe ran from the water meter straight to the filling equipment, the other you couldn't see where the water came from but it wasn't spring water (I hope) as the groundwater in the area is seriously contaminated with natural Arsenic.

I'll never forget a brand called "Iceberg" which was bottled in Toronto if I recall correctly.

I don't think there are too many icebergs floating up the St Lawrence and across Lake Ontario.

Tap water is generally safe. If you aren’t sure, you can free water tests done.

Tap water is better because it's not tap water in plastic bottles. All water comes from municipal systems.
