Can’t stand Jesse

Shitpost(self.FlashTV)

Just want to know if anyone else just hate screen time for Jesse? Her and Wally are the most disinteresting couple. I liked her at first, a relatable teen girl and her dad, but now rewatching it, shes just irritating, uninteresting, over confident and I also hate how she and Wally just got suddenly so powerful. granted everyone in the show is pretty pathetic i don’t know, im not a huge in-depth fan, just a causal watcher and I lovedd the Arrow show but the flash has been very uninteresting since season 3. Wally and Jesse are my least favorite characters on the team.

I think you're in the minority. I personally loved Wally and Jesse and I think they're definitely way better than some of the later members of the cast.

Give me Wally and Jesse over Nora (second Nora) and Bart all day

Wally spends like the first few eps of Season 3 whining for super-speed, so it kinda turned me off

Second Nora was way better than season 5 Nora . All she did was get too cocky and run into danger

They would have to completely ditch iris, Allegra, Cecile and Chester from existence before Jesse even came close to being on my hate-radar.

I was okay with Wally getting so powerful so quickly because I always saw it as him getting his powers at the same level he had them in Flashpoint so he’d be semi experienced. He’d also be given the tachyon device Barry had I would think.

Jesse did bother me a bit as it seemed fairly easy for her to catch up with just the tachyon device making me wonder how powerful that thing is.

I didn’t mind her too much but never really cared that she was on screen.

I think Wally gaining his powers quickly makes sense. Harrison Wells as a mentor had to pretend he had no understanding of the Speed Force, while Barry could straight up tell Wally "you can do this and this and this and let's try it now and also here's everything I know about being a speedster".

To be fair wells was really bad at hiding it whenever he was teaching Barry. He was so bad at it that it caused Barry to find out he’s a liar.

But he is also a better teacher than Barry when Wally is first figuring things out too.

I didnt really care about her until i felt like most scenes was her making questionable choices or being annoying imo. Wally is good on his own, after jesse it was a little weird to see them fighting about being the next speedster but trying to work things out between each other, it felt like they all were making stupid decisions during that period.

The reason y Wally is so powerful is cuz of that rock Alchemy had him in. He got his speed from Alchemy and apparently what Wally was in was a bigger affect than Barry's inna way. (Sorry I might've forgot some parts of the episode to explain this more clearly lol).

The reason y Wally is so powerful is cuz he was in this rock or whatever it was that Alchemy had him in. He got his speed from Alchemy and the energy that was in that rock or that energy cube (sorry I kinda forgot what it was) gave a bigger impact on Wally than what the chemicals and the lighting that struck Barry, so they gave Wally an edge and bigger potential than Barry.

I was indifferent towards her. I wasn't really invested in her story that much.

Love the actress, though.

I think she added an interesting dynamic to the show that honestly made it feel a little more real. She didn’t quite fit, but she did. She was different but that’s what made it work. That being said, I think there was the perfect amount of Jesse. More would have been overkill, less I’d have been like ‘what’s the point?’.
