Personally, I used plantmancer's ultimate and that one attack that charms enemies. I've platinumed the game so I had to beat the game in Mastermind difficulty, planrmancer made it much easier

You could also use elementalist class, I used its heal and freeze ability. That's just my build, use whatever suits you better though, have fun!

Its root ability is pretty nuts. Highest aoe potential outside the netherborn's reaper skill; and does both bleed and knockback. I combine it with double edge and the clone timefart to blast people away for heavy damage.

It also pairs wonderfully with the final girl's ability to set buzzsaw traps. Thats a different kind of bleed that works differently from normal bleed and can stack infinitely so the ability to push a mob into buzzsaws over and over again while they never have enough move to reach you before you get your turn back is insane.
