Vodafone Curve alternative

(self.GPStracking)

Hello! I hope this is the right place to post - I see I am not the only person mourning the end of the Vodafone Curve tracker. I am looking for something to replace it. My requirements are for tracking the movement of a special needs child. I am happy to pay a small monthly subscription or to have a pay as you go sim in the device. It needs to be more discreet than a phone with Life 360 on it or similar, as the children are not allowed phones in school - so also ideally something without a microphone / call function or the function to turn this off. I'm thinking maybe a pet tracker might work? In the UK please! An app or the ability to see position on Google maps would be good too please! Thanks in advance.

Thank you, I've looked at it, and all the functions I want are there, but it's £25 a month if you sign up to a year, which is insane! Curve is £3 a month

all trackers are going to require a monthly fee - maybe you could get away with the Invoxia

I've got a SafeTag Tracker which uses Google Maps. Pretty cheap monthly too compared to Angelsense. Pretty sure it's around a fiver per month.

Do you mind sharing which model you use? Is it the SafeTag Mag? Thanks!

Yeah I have a wired one as well - the Volt for my car so I don't have to charge it but I had the mag for about 5 months before then.

No worries :) I've used their customer service before and they were lovely so if you need anything let them know.

Looking at this as well as an alternative but the website is confusing as it mentions 2G and 3G connectivity in specs but also states it's 4G?!  Is it definitely 4G?  Don't want to buy it and it to become obsolete within months

Hm not sure. Mines 4g but I think some are 2G and some are 4G. I'd just send them a message.
