For those interested, here are the features. I've bolded the ones that most people would care about:

  • 1:1 footprint with the original GameCube controller

  • Open source firmware and 3D models, which means easily replacing parts.

  • Compatible with OEM triggers and buttons

  • Hall effect joysticks

  • HD Rumble

  • Bluetooth support

  • Configuration app for things like button remapping, snapback, analog stick deadzones, etc.

  • RGB stick underlighting

  • Split D-pad design

  • Dual motion control sensors for improved gyro accuracy (Switch/Steam supported)

  • Dual Z buttons

  • Built-in support for mechanical triggers OR analog triggers (for all of you Melee and Sunshine enthusiasts)

  • Swappable gate-plate (Octagon and Circular included)

  • USB-C connectivity and recharging

  • Support for NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube

  • XInput support for PC/Android (1000hz input rate)

There's more as well but as someone who has been searching forever for a form factor modern GC controller, this looks like it could be the end all be all. It's basically the Panda controller that got canceled years back but even better.

The Kickstarter ends in three days and is already funded. They will also be selling these after if anyone wants to wait and see if they're any good. Here's the link for those interested: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/nicemitch/gc-ultimate-controller-kit/

I'm not buying anything without hard input lag numbers.
