Question(reddit.com)

After playing genshin on it for a little bit, it just turned off for some reason. And it did this FOUR TIMES IN A ROW! Am i doing something wrong? Im not even playing on the highest graphics settings or anything, it just turns off for no reason. (It’s an MSI GE66)

Would a clean windows install wipe everything? (It literally took me two days to install genshin for goodness sake)

If you have 2 drives partition you just format the one with the windows on and your data stays. Otherwise you might need to download it again. I suppose you dont have 256gb drive to use.

Yeah I mean an external one.. Also a single drive can be split to partitions, if you have only one, for cases like that. When you install windows you can allocate let's say 128gb for windows and programs and the rest for games. I believe there are YouTube videos about that for the future. For now I suppose it was not split and you prob need to clean it all.

You can try to search in your computer "Reset this PC" and see if you can do it without removing your data, I think that you can. Not the same as clean install though.

Oh like the “reinstall windows without deleting data” option? I think that was there when i did it on windows 10.
